Kirsten's meet accessories include her red and white checked sunbonnet, amber heart, spoon bag with spoon, red and white cross stitch handkerchief. Kirsten's sunbonnet is made from light weight cotton. The bonnet is gathered with elastic at the neck and has long ties to tie it under her chin. The brim extends pretty far over her face, so if you're taking pictures, it is hard to see her face. It is floppy enough to you can fold the brim over or push the bonnet back if you wish. Kirsten's amber heart is made from amber colored plastic (I think). It has a silky cord and metal clasp. It's very tiny and hard to open and close. My Kirsten has never worn it much.Kirsten's hankie is a 3" square of muslin with a red border of about 1/4" wide and blue cross stitching in the border. Her spoon bag is made from cotton and appliquéd with red and blue patches and embroidered in red and Swedish blue with her initials and date. It ties around her waist so she can carry her spoon with her wherever she goes. The spoon was originally made from real wood, but I can not vouch for the current version which I have not seen. It has a flat head and a rounded handle. It is very small and not sized to really give Kirsten much of a meal. I like her accessories and think they are well made, but the only part I've ever really played with is her sunbonnet. Grade: A

The Meet Accessories are adorable!! I would give them an A. They are easy to use.
The Bonnet: Very cute. The elastic band around the hat makes it easy to get on and stay on. The ties come out easily, but it's not a big problem. The Necklace: Adorable. I agree with qnpoohbear, it is a little hard to get on. I have left it on my Kirsten probably since I got her in 2005. The Spoon Bag: Very cute, it says 1854 K.L. (for Kirsten Larson). It has a ribbon that goes through the loops that is rather hard to get in straight. It takes a little maneuvering. The Hankerchief: It is a white piece of fabric with a red and blue border. The new version wrinkles easily. The Spoon: Both versions are made of wood. It is a good size for her. Very simple.

My spoon bag has a 1994 tag (as do the sunbonnet and hankie), with a fabric care tag advising to hand wash and line dry it. My spoon has "FRANCE" carved on the side of the handle, a tiny hole in the round end, and has very obvious grain patterns from the wood. The necklace is not hard to put on Kirsten, perhaps the ribbon is longer on mine. The heart is darker colored, like qnpoohbear's necklace. The hankie's cross-stitches do not go through to the reverse side, the border is 2 layers, with the center being one layer. the spoon bag's sash has neat cut ends that are not sewn together, but there isn't really any fraying. The sunbonnet is very wide brimmed, as it would have been in Kirsten's day. The whole set is adorable.

I ordered the accessories for my Kirsten and they really are very cute! The Bonnet: I thought it very thin for something that supposed to keep the sun away! lol The necklace: I always thought the string for the necklace was like a silken cord, but it's not. It is more a thin brown silken ribbon. But it is a beautiful accessory. The spoonbag: while feeling stiff also felt cheap. But I am not used to Mattel AG stuff yet, so... The napkin does feel like it will wrinkle easy. not sure how I think about that yet, hehe. The spoon: is wooden and as previously described. Flat on one side. I bought my items in Oct. '09.

Very cute accessories! I love the bonnet, it looks really nice with her meet dress. Not sure how much I like it with her other dresses though... The hankie is very cute, I love the design. The spoon bag and little wooden spoon are adorable! The necklace is my favorite, it is so beautiful! A must have for Kirsten. A+

Kirsten's meet accessories are just precious for her and round out her meet outfit perfectly. Her checkered bonnet is thin and made of an adorable gingham print, and ties under her chin. Her spoon bag is just as sweet with her initials embroidered on and the year. It ties around her waist. The spoon itself is wooden and pretty plain, which is just perfect for a little pioneer girl. The handkerchief is embroidered around the edge and not printed, which gets a big A+ from me. It folds up perfectly to fit in her little apron pocket where it is available whenever she needs to use it! Her necklace is on a delicate brown ribbon, and the heart is plastic. I lost mine long ago and had to buy a replacement. It completes her look, and reminds Kirsten of her grandmother in Sweden, so it's important for her to wear! Overall: Kirsten is not complete without her accessories! This is one accessory set that is definitely worth the money, and comes with quite a few adorable and well-made things. Even if you have to buy it on e-bay, I say go for it! Grade: A+++++++
