Includes bed, mattress and pillow. A-
I don't personally have the bed, but someone I know does. The frame is stickered American Girl and the mattress and pillow are tagged Pleasant Company 1996. The bedframe is made out of wood (I think) painted blue with painted floral patterns and little heart shaped cutouts on the headboard and footboard. The mattress are red and white stiped cotton and are lighter weight that the ones that came with my Felicity bed.

My best friend had this bed for her my AGT when she was younger, and it was a wonderful piece. I loved the simple elegance of the bed with its striped mattress and pillow--perfect for Kirsten, yet still perfectly acceptable for an AGT. It was also small enough to store on a bookshelf, where my friend stored hers with her doll sleeping on top.

Sadly, she sold it before I could get my hands on it!

This is a simple but sweet piece of doll furniture. It is made of very lightweight wood that would likely shatter if you put too much weight on it. The bed itself is deep, kind of like a tray. The paint can chip off fairly easily, which actually doesn't bother me because I can't imagine it being in pristine condition on the prairie anyway. Also, the mattress and pillow don't hold up to washing (mine is a fairly early version and has seen lots of play). But other than that I think the whole thing gets an B for its simplicity and utility. I'd give it a higher grade but I can't get past disliking putting a doll in a tray.

Only one end is painted:

I love Kirsten's bed I think Kristen may be the space saver queen of the AG dolls due to the bed fitting nicely into the trunk so easy storage yet look great when it is was out. I remember when I first got it and I was putting the bed away and my hubby came in saying. "Wow her bed fits into her trunk." I have always enjoyed that due tot eh limited space I have in my doll room.

The bed - Kirsten's 2004 bed is rather plain and seems more like a "doll bed" than other AG beds. But I will not complain because it is a depiction of a historically accurate pioneer trundle! It is painted "Swedish blue" like the colors in the rest of her collection, and decorated with Swedish designs (that are actually decals now, although I think they were originally hand-painted). It is not cumbersome like the other beds and I really like that it does not have to be assembled, which is especially good for children. I never found the wood of the bed to be fragile, but a large chip of the paint came off and had to be repainted. I would also recommend buying the trunk at the same time to make sure the paint color matches as it varies in different years and batches. A

The mattress and pillow - both these pieces are very soft, made of red-striped ticking. The mattress is light and fluffy and fits well down into the bed. The pillow looks very comfortable (unlike Josefina's pillow), and appears large enough to actually accommodate Kirsten's head. Both pieces get an A.
Pictures coming soon!

It's a good buy, but I think it's a little over priced, from what it was on AG. I got it for $25 at a doll show, and for that money it was WONDERFUL!! I love the painted design on it.
I give in an A

I have seen so many of these crack at the joints that I am afraid to touch it. The paint is always chipping here and there also. I give it a C+ , only because it is really cute, but as far as how well it holds up...that is disappointing.
