* This outfit was worn by Samantha in the short story "Samantha’s Winter Party." *This dress is so beautiful! It is made from ice blue crepe du chine and in the latest "pigeon front" style. (Meaning the bodice pouches out over the waist). It has a big sash which snaps in back and the hairbow is attached to a French Clip that snaps in Samantha's hair. There is delicate lacy trim on the neckline and sleeves and the skirt is pleated. Negatives: This dress is very delicate, the fabric snags easily, and the lace could rip if you are not careful. The sash could also break if not unsnapped carefully. The hair clip gets caught in Samantha's hair and makes her hair tangled. It's a very pretty dress but it hangs too loose on my white bodied Samantha. It fits my Gotz Little Sisters, Susanna much better. Grade:A

This is absolutely my favorite of all Samantha's dresses - it is totally soft and feminine without being all ruffles and frills; and the color is the most beautiful shade of blue!

This dress is wonderful. It is probably one of (if not THE) best quality dress out of all of the Samantha's. The fabric is nice and silky, with wonderful pleats and details. The matching bow is very nice. I love the drop waist and how it looks on Samantha. A+

It is WAY too big for my Samantha. It shows the Lacy Whites. It just seems to fit awkwardly. Hence I am disappointed with it.

This is one of my favorite Samantha outfits. It seems very classy and elegant. I got it when I was eight or nine, and it's still in pretty good condition. Of all my mounds of retired Sam outfits, this is one of the ones that really stands out. Mine is original 1998 edition and tagged Pleasant Company, but it still fits my April 2005 ex-AGOT Erica. If you have a third Edwardian period girl like my Erica, this makes a perfect Christmas dress. IMHO it still looks like a girl's dress, but for an older girl than her cranberry dress looks like it is for.
***** A+ for style and quality.

I received this outfit several years ago when an ebay seller mistakenly sent it instead of the Ice Blue Outfit. In the few days I had it, I tried it on Inky. It really is a lovely outfit, the fabric is nice and silky. If I were collecting for Samantha, I think I'd like the collar to be a bit bigger. The pleats are lovely. Hairbow is lovely and enormous. I prefer the hairbows on clips for Samantha, because then I don't have to worry about tying bows properly. Grade: A

I would give this outfit an A. It is soft and I love the pleats on the skirt and blousy top. The color & fabric set it apart from other Samantha dresses.
