This is the Victorian Lemonade Set, an ideal tea time set-up. The flatware and glass dishes are more elegant than anything I own!  There are little cherries on the thumbprint glassware trimmed in gold. The set includes: two goblets, two saucers, a pitcher, two gold-colored knives, forks, and spoons, an embroidered tablecloth edged in Battenberg lace, and two napkins. Grade: A Price: $62 |

Samantha's lemonade set is made from heavy duty glass. The cherries and gold accents are very pretty and elegant.   This set was originally made by Mosser glass company and featured hand painted decorations. The cherries on the hand painted version are lighter and heart shaped and the gold is more vibrant. The glass also appears to be heavier.   Both are very nice and a wonderful addition to Samantha's collection. A for AG version A+ for Mosser version |

Were there two versions of the tablecloth to Samantha's Victorian Lemonade Set? I have two Lemonade Sets, but the tablecloth is not labeled on either & I am wondering if both cloths are authentic. One set appears to be the older (I think Mosser?) version with the cherries that are heart-shaped. It has a white linen cloth with a large embridered butterfly & battenberg lace that does not go all the way around the edge (when the square cloth hangs off the round tabletop, the hanging "points" are not edged in lace) The second set is a more recent set I believe. The white tablecloth to that has some embroidered design on it, but not an obvious butterfly & the lace goes all the way aorund the perimeter of the tablecloth so that when it hangs off the table the lace hangs off as well. So, are there two versions as I've described?? Thanks for the help! Yes, there are at least three versions of Samantha’s table cloth set and I’m quite certain that both of yours are authentic. |

I just got my set today. One goblet is broken, but I knew that, and the price I paid reflected that defect. (Need to figure out if there is a glue I can find to seam it back together.)
Anyway, the set as a whole is lovely. I believe it is a newer set based on QNPoohBear's pictures and descriptions (the wicker table and chairs I also bought are marked "Made in China for Pleasant Company, but the daughter who was letting go of the stuff looked like she was only in high school, possibly freshman in college).
The glass is very sturdy, and I am surprised by how heavy the pieces are. It is very good for a dessert play scene, though I will probably still look for a set (have not decided whose yet) that has the more standard china-like plates and cups. The gold utensils remind me of my parents' set, which they received as a wedding gift.
For some reason I have four napkins. Not sure how this happened, but this is what the seller was giving as part of the set, so I didn't complain.
Overall, a great first dish set for me, and very happy. A
