I just got Donna, my new 36! She's my second doll after PM Kirsten and I love her SOOOO. Straight out of the box: She's all shorter than Kirsten, look (they're both barefoot here): I tried to get a good shot of her pretty hazel eyes. Here are the girls being topless and risque to show how much skinnier Donna is: One change of duds later: Mebbe I'll add some more pictures when her hair stops being all bent from the ponytail holders she came in.

I also would like to share some of our pictures of this lovely doll. My daughter has just got it for her birthday and she loves her. Her name is Charlotte. This is one of her outfits - an Indian sari (my daughter really wanted this one): i1085.photobucket.com/albums/j436/OlgaW/IMG_9778-1.jpg

I just received my #36 retiree in the mail and it looks like she has a chunk missing from her bangs on one side. The only time I see it is if I pull that side of the hair back. Here's a picture of what I mean: AG is out of stock with this doll and recommended I send mine to the Hospital for a head replacement. So off she went this afternoon.

I just purchased a 36 as well, and my wig looks the same. In my opinion, the wig is actually designed like this to hide the seam for the bangs. The extra-long bangs right at the part are cut from the rest of the wig and should be brushed over to cover this spot. The wig cap is visible if I brush her bangs forward and the rest of the hair back. You can see the beginning of each row of hair and the seam for the straight-across bangs. When I put her bangs back the way they want to be, though, it is hidden. It is hard to tell from photos. Yours might be more drastic, especially if your DH noticed it. It does look a little odd to me that some of the hair in the clip seems to come from underneath the bangs. There may be something different with you doll that I am not seeing in the pictures. I just don't want you to be disappointed it she comes home from the DH looking the same.

I can see the stiching in mine as well. I think you are supposed to brush over the longest part of her bang to hide that. It is just the way the wig is made.

I also just got a #36, and her wig is like that, but not as bad. :/

The extra-long bangs right at the part are cut from the rest of the wig and should be brushed over to cover this spot. This seems to be the case. Whereas most of the AG wigs with bangs go straight down, hers seem to fan out from her part. My #36 got here yesterday, and this is what her part looks like. It actually looks worse in person than in the photo. There is also a small piece of hair that is too short to fit in the pigtails she came in. I think her hair looks a lot nicer with that piece covering the wig cap also. Here is a picture of her with Nellie for a bang comparison.

That's weird...I think my #38 has the same thing. It's never really bothered me, because I can easily cover it up. I thought my wig just had some crazy defect, but it looks like I'm not alone!

Hmmm... well I guess I'll see what I get when she arrives back home from the hospital! Another question for those of you who have her, how obvious is the wig cap? With my girl it was VERY obvious and it she also had some shorter hairs that looked like they had actually been cut where the break in the bang/hair line is. The chunk of wig cap on mine just looked terrible. Even my DH who isn't terribly observant with my dolls said it looked like a defect to him... so we shall see what happens. Here's another closer pic of the wig cap that I took before I shipped her to the doll hospital. I also agree that she looks much better with the shorter piece of hair in the front.
