Released in 2001, retired in 2018. Associated with Happy Birthday, Kit!
Kit’s deep jade metal table has graceful curves and a 1930s flair. The sunburst cutout designs on the chairs make them perfect for an outdoor birthday celebration.
Kit's Table & Chairs $70 QF
Grade A+
This set includes Kit's table and two matching chairs.
Talk about GORGEOUS! This piece is unbelievably beautiful! There are not even words to explain how beautiful this set it. The table and chairs set is so heavy! It is thick, sturdy metal. It is the most beautiful shade of thick, glossy, enameled GREEN I have ever seen! And the enamel seems sturdy too.
My table has had it's share of bangs and clangs with no visible signs of wear, dent, dings, scratches or scrapes. My two year old sits in.. err, ON these chairs too. They hold her just fine.
The style of this set is so classic and elegant. It is positively stunning!
A++ because it just does not get any better than this!

I agree! We just got this today and it is gorgeous. I was amazed at how heavy the pieces are. Kit is sitting at her table now eating her waffles.

A+ and I'm a hard grader
I agree with Americanmommy, this set is amazing. It is so nice and sturdy. Our table and chairs have also had their share of drops and falls but don't look any worse for wear. It looks the same as the day we got it 2 or 3 years ago. My 2 year old has also sat in the chairs (though it wasn't positively reinforced) without damaging them (unlike Kirsten's chairs). The set is also really heavy. I strongly recommend getting this set if you have small children who might want to "help" or play with you.
The set is also quite pretty and spacious. There is plenty of room at the table for four dolls, if you have extra chairs. When Kit's birthday sets are on the table, they don't look squished. The set also looks lovely in Samantha's ice-cream parlour scene in the scenes-and-settings. This is one of the best AG purchases that I have made in the last couple years.

My daughter's long awaited set arrived today and she is just thrilled with it. The colour is a deeper green than the pics I see here on the board (unless it's my laptop display altering them). This set is very well made and very heavy. In fact, my husband described it as 'overkill' quality. I am sure this will see almost non-stop play here. There have been three changes of food settings/dishes already, and now the girls are settled down with their laptops/typerwriter to do some work.
If this is reflective of the quality of AG furniture, I so wish we had space for more.
Santa is being asked to bring two extra chairs so the girls can all sit down together. We'll see what the big man can pull off.

I really like this set especially since it all metal! The dolls look pretty good sitting in the chairs and I don't think they would fall out of them. I give this set an A+.

I think one of the best investments of all the accessiories is Kit's table and chairs. It is so worth the money and its made really quite well, hard to distroy and would last for years. I bought it for my granddaughter and she is only four, have put it away but will give it to her around 6 years old. Such a good investment for dolls of any kind. I think a lot of the stuff is not worth the money.

I found this for you, and I am sure there are plenty of other sites concerning Kit's table. The chair pictured does not have arms on it as does Kit's, but at least the pretty sunburst is displayed. www.wisconsinhistory.org/museum/artifacts/archives/002823.aspAunt Millie did most of the preparation for Kit's birthday celebration that was held in the backyard. The sunburst metal table and chairs were used and can be seen on the cover of Kit's Birthday celebration. Before the Depression Kit's Mom was very involved with her garden club and the table was most likely utilized then too. I remember family members of mine owning very similar yard tables. Kit's table makes a nice presentation, is historically accurate, and is very sturdy. The dolls sit well in the chairs. I have been very pleased with the table/chairs. Happy shopping!

Great information Margaret. I own this table and am very impressed with how sturdy and pretty it is. In the movie this was the outdoor table.

I was going to say the chairs look suspiciously like those around the Memorial Union at the University of Wisconsin. I see the post has confirmed my point.

I am so happy that I caved during F/S and got this set. To me, it's definitely outdoor patio/lawn furniture. I'm really happy with both of my AG table and chair sets...Kit's for outside and Molly's original wooden dropleaf one for inside. Kit's would also look really pretty in a sunroom setting, for those of you who have made those amazing AG dollhouses!

The table and chairs are most definitely a patio set. In Kit's story, she throws her birthday party in the family's backyard, and she uses the table and chairs to serve food, etc. And, as happymargaret said, Kit's mother also was a member of the garden club, which of course took place in the garden, where the chairs were most likely used.
I actually found very similar sunburst chairs at an estate sale (they were white, not green though). Unfortunately they sold before I could get my hands on one!

I got my Table & Chairs from the outlet since they were nicely discounted, and was super excited. It is a very nice, sturdy medal, and the chairs are excellent for sitting in. Sadly, my table is a bit messed up... not sure if this is a manufacturing defect or just mine, but it is annoying- (could also be the fact that I traveled with it on a plane in a suitcase, even though it was wrapped in bubble wrap...) The picture explains everything! The slanted disc thing annoys me, and it looks like the tabletop is slanted, but it seems to be rather even when you put a marble ontop of it. I'm not sure what's wrong with it. (The picture looks like the disc is even and the table is slanted- it is quite the opposite. I think it was welded on crooked. And now, what this thread is missing lots of pictures of- dolls sitting at it! Rachel and Lanie like it and sit at it very well. Overall I give it an A+, even with the issues I got it at a great price and it is just an awesome set.

This is the best table for extra chairs! If you look at the reviews, though there are only pictures with 2 chairs, you can see that there is ample room for two more chairs. My dolls fit well there without getting tangled legs. I love Molly's wooden table, but 4 dolls around it means having to position those legs v-e-r-y carefully. Not so with Kit's table.

Here it is with four chairs (McKenna, Kit, and two Corolle babies that are just a tad smaller than the bitties). As a display you can see how this works well, and how for play you could easily have five or six chairs around it (five fits well, six is a squeeze but works if some are baby dolls). Also, the chairs are stackable - it's a little fiddly, but it works. Now I just have to figure out whether to give DD the table and all six chairs for Christmas, or whether to hold two back for later. edited to fix giant pics, sorry

A friend of mine has this and I was recently able to see it. I love the green color. It looks so perfect for the era. The starburst design is great.
