Sweet Sequins Party Accessories
Let’s get this party started! Embellish your doll with a curly faux-fur collar with a wide bow, a holographic tiara, stick-on earrings, an engraved, pretend locket watch that comes inside a candy wrapper, and a spinning noisemaker.
Collar: Um. It probably goes with the outfit, but is so outrageously obnoxious that it only works for costumes around here. It's bright pink. The faux fur has a nice texture to it though and it closes with a hook-and-eye, not velcro, so that's a plus. Grade: D
Tiara: Sparkly paper on plastic headband. Grade: F
Stick-on Earrings: Pretty standard for AG. They stay on fairly well. Grade: B
Locket Watch: This is a cute idea, but not executed very well. Mine doesn't stay closed. I would've liked to see a magnetic clasp instead of velcro, since the watch part is heavy and the velcro comes undone easily. Grade: C
Noisemaker: Sparkly pink plastic. Makes a whirring noise. It is appropriately sized to the doll, but she can't really hold it. Grade: F
Cracker ("Candy Wrapper"): This is cute. It's covered in sparkly silver paper and I think is thick cardboard. It is in two parts that pull apart. It fits small accessories that are thin (think a magazine rolled up, or doll jewelry) and could definitely be used in a lot of settings. It's unique. Grade: A-
Overall Grade: D. This set was pretty much a fail except for the cracker, which just excites me so much that I can forgive myself for buying this set. I got it for like $5 I think and would definitely not pay more for it.
