Kit wore this outfit in "Kit’s Tree house" and "Kit Uses Her Head". It was released in 2003 and retired in Fall 2007.
Kit’s cardigan sweater has a blue checkerboard pattern knitted into it. She wears it with her blue skirt, knee socks, and pom-pom hat on chilly autumn days.
Yay, the only Kit thing I have hasn't been done yet:)!!
The Good: SO CUTE. The little pom pom on the hat is so fun, and the top is a very nice, home-made looking sweater. Tights are cute, and warm looking.
The Bad: nothing.
Rating: *****, A+

Kit’s Tree House Outfit $24 QJO
Grade: A+
This set includes Kit's sweater, skirt, hat and socks.
This is probably one of Kit's cutest outfits. The pictures never do it justice. It is really sweet and girly in person, not nearly as tom-boyish as it looks in the pictures. The sweater is sweet and very detailed. The skirt is nice and full. The tan socks look good and warm. The hat is a good fit, but the pom-pom on mine always looks disheveled- still very cute.
This is really a very pretty outfit. It is much more feminine than it appears in the photos. I consider this outfit to be a real gem and a must have for any collection, historical or modern. I think this outfit has such a classic look. The pieces are great to mix and match too. With the threat of possible retirement, I would hate to see anyone miss out on this adorable outfit. Denver likes to wear [this outfit] with the red shoes from Kit's Swim suit set.
A+

Yeppers...This outfit is definitely an A+! I love every part about it. Why did they have to retire it? I have my Kit wearing it, but as so many board members have shown, it looks great on any doll from any era. I have a hard time getting over the incredible detail knit into the sweater pattern. Wow! So cute! I'm eager to put her work boots on with it...They just came in the mail the other day.

I got the Treehouse Outfit in the mail today, and the skirt was a LOT thinner than I expected. The weight of the jumper had me thinking the skirt would also be thick and warm, which was surprising. However, I think it'll match well with Kit's school blouse for an alternate outfit.
Also, the jumper and hat are very sleek! I expected a coarser yarn. Still, it's wool, so this outfit will be mostly staying stored or display-only, since the side of my hand still has that vague burning feeling from where I accidently brushed against the wool. (Luckily, my palms and fingertips aren't as sensitive.)

Even though I wasn't lucky enough to get the complete outfit before it retired - I did manage to snag the hat and sweater - which are great pieces in themselves. I love the pom-pom on the hat, it's just so cozy! And I love the sweater paired with Kit's overalls. Two great quality pieces and I am so glad I got them! They also compliment Kit's eyes nicely - really bringing out the dark blue! Overall, I give this set an A+! D~
