I saw the Nellie Mini Doll thread and went to look for the Kit one...and didn't find it! So, here we go. BAs cute as this mini doll is, she has so many tiny parts! Well, I guess that's the whole point of a mini doll... But her short hair slips through the barrette easily, which in turn breaks easily when trying to get it back in. The shoes are also tiny and easily-lost. Sometime after taking the photo of Mini Kit on the cannon, her shoe must have fallen off when I pulled her out of my bag, and it's gone now. The outfit is adorable - the sweater is one part instead of two, which makes it a lot easier to deal with, but if you want to remove it, it goes over her head! That will stretch out the neckline, but I haven't found that problematic. We usually keep the top buttoned done up anyway, because it looks nice, and it hides the stretch. The skirt velcroes on the side, and she has undies just like the big Kit. Of course, as a mini doll, her hair is rooted and her eyes are painted. Over all, I think she is one of the best minidolls, but I wish the shoes and barette didn't get lost so easily! --- KERI

I got my mini-Kit second hand from a board member, and she came with everything but her hair clip, which I can see from Keri's review is no great loss. I have a thing with miniatures, so at the moment I am utterly enchanted by Kit. Then again, I've only had her for about 20 minutes and haven't had time to deal with any of the frustrations other mini doll owners seem to have with theirs.
I will make a note about the shoes, since Keri only mentioned losing hers. I still have both of mine, and I wonder if the one-shoe thing is a trend, because her right shoe (our left, her right) slips right off, but her left shoe doesn't seem to want to come off. These shoes are adorable if you can keep them (I'll take a pic later), made to resemble her white T-straps very accurately for the scale. They even have tiny buckles that the straps are threaded into, so the straps aren't just glued/sewn on. For people who keep losing her shoes or are worried about losing them, you can pull the straps tighter. Just push the strap in from toward the front of the shoe, which should cause it to gather in the buckle, then pull the other end. I noticed when you did this, you ended up with the strap very long, going around the back of her foot, so you may want to cut it if you do this. I just fixed the strap, since she's going to be mostly display anyway and I'm not worried about her shoes, but if you have kids or play with yours or take it around, it's something to keep in mind. The shoes also have plastic soles, with heels and tread.
Overall, possibly because I am still utterly enchanted, I give it a B+.
ETA: I just looked in the sweater. Yes, she does have a mini-version of the AG cloth bodies, including neck strings. I am a little annoyed that the skirt is just the same fabric they use for big-Kit's skirt so it's out of scale, but this is true of all mini-dolls.

Needs moar pics. The twin set is really one piece. Overall, though, very nice!

I bought a Mini Kit today. I was not planning to- but Mini Ruthie needed a friend.
Her hair is very soft and silky- albeit cut a bit bluntly. Her cardigan and shell are fused together- so there is only one item instead of two. Her skirt is very cute, and so are her shoes. Her underpants are fine- not too bulky. She even has the barrette and it holds a lot of hair and does not slip out. And the book is adorable. I am giving her an A- would be an A+ if she actually had the sweater set like the big Kit doll.

Okay, so mini Kit is kind of freaky. She's a supervillain in our house (Kit the Kitster, of course). The doll has nice construction with a body just like her big sister. The skirt closes with velcro and the sweater set is, unfortunately, just one piece that slips over her head. I like the tiny replica barrette, but the doll's hair looks nothing like real Kit. It is white-blond unlike Kit's light yellow hair, and very crazy sticking out all over the place. Here eyes are wrong too, they are more sky-blue like Kirsten's, not the correct dark color. Her shoes won't stay on her feet and I was surprised to find they are pleather, not fabric. She's good for a supervillain but for a doll's doll she gets a C.

So DD8 has been dying to get a mini Kit and this christmas my mil bought her one. She is indeed just like her bigger sister, but. I think her hair is oldly cut in a various blunt cut and not short blunt cut like bigger Kit. I'm scared of the barret and shoes and have instructed DD8 not to remove them. Overall we like her.
