This outfit was worn by Molly in the book Molly's Route 66 Adventure. It was introduced in Spring 2002 along with Molly's Route 66 Accessories, and it retired in 2006.
Molly's blue linen dress keeps her cool and comfortable for her trip down Route 66. It has eyelet trim and pretty flower-shaped buttons. She's glad she has her white crew hat when the hot sun shines through the car window!
Route 66 Rating A+
Mollys little dress is made of the nicest material , feels like a very soft polished cotton. This outfit is simply adorable on her. The Sailor hat is just the finishing touch. This is just so sweet and one of her more feminine outfits. If you dont have this yet, I suggest getting it. I cant say enough about this outfit!! A 5 star masterpiece!!!

We have this one and love it too! I actually got it for a good price on ebay. The hat is adorable! ( I seem to have a thing for the girls' hats!)

This is the sweetest dress and it even has real buttons. My Molly wears this more than anything else she owns. The fabrice is very nice and makes me think of linen. I imagine this is the first dress a little girl would choose on a hot summer day.

I really like this outfit. Both the dress and hat. The dress is very pretty and looks comfortable. I like the specific shade of blue used- it is not too light and it looks very good with Molly's coloring. The buttons are very nice- although some little girls with smaller hands may have trouble with them. The hat works well with the dress and it is not awkward. A+

Molly's Route 66 OutfitGrade: A+ Pro's: Gorgeous outfit, nice fabric, great quality! Con's: Couldn't think of anything negative except: that for me, it takes too long to put it on! You have to button each individual button because it doesn't close with velcro. But, for some, this just might add some historical appeal! Detailed Review: LOVE IT! This is my favorite outfit for Molly. The fabric feels like linen-type and is very pretty. The detail on this dress is so amazing... I just adore those sweet flower buttons! The dress buttons closed. It does not have velcro. The hat to finish it off is very cute, but I don't tend to use it because I don't want to mess Molly's bangs up. It still looks very cute without it.

I'm giving this outfit an A. It's my favorite Molly outfit that we have so far.
The blue of the dress looks really nice with Molly's coloring, and I love the material. I like that it doesn't close with velcro. The hat is cute, and finishes the outfit off nicely. I do wish it came with hair ribbons, but I think I can make some easily enough.
It's a shame that they retired this outfit, but I recently found it on Ebay NIB for right around retail price.

I loooove this outfit and it is my favorite outfit of Molly's and possibly my favorite outfit that AG has ever made. It is the quintessential dress for dolls, simple and sweet. The color brings out the blue of Molly's eyes as well as the rich chestnut brown of her hair. The style is so so pretty and the cut of the dress is very flattering on her. The material feels and looks like linen which has a great drape and quality to it. The hat is adorable and finishes off the outfit. With the brownie camera around her neck and holding the route 66 banner Molly is the picture of sweetness that transports you back in time.
