This item was introduced in 1998 and retired in 2005.
When she wasn’t roller skating outside in the fresh spring air, Molly might have ridden a sturdy bicycle just like this one. Based on a two-wheeler from the early ’40s, Molly’s bike is equipped with working light, a rearview mirror, a wire basket, and a handlebar horn to toot” to friends. The toe clips keep her feet secure as you wheel your Molly doll around.
Molly's bike. A+
I was so disappointed when they retired Molly's bike.
AG always surprise me with what they retire. The price on ebay were nuts but have settled down now. I was very lucky to get a complete bike on ebay for less then I would of paid AG.
I had heard on the other host board that many thought it was a waste of money.
Well, I have to say, I love it. I think it is the most cutest thing to see Molly sitting on her bike. I think it is great and would recommend that if you can find the bike for a good price go for it. You will not be disappointed.

I love Molly's bike as well. All I have to do is glance at Molly standing next to her blue bike, and it cheers me up instantly.

The bike is nice for display, but not so much for play value IMO. The handlebars usually don't stay straight, the seat can come off if you happen to pick the bike up by it & the horn usually doesn't work. Sometimes the light on the front fender doesn't work either. But, it is nice for display purposes.

I got mine for $20 at a thrift store and I love it. After the mirror broke it's been thrown around and played with plenty without any problems.
It was one of those things I'd never considered, but when I saw it in person I had to have it. Now if they'd just make the wheel cover thingees for Julie's bike replacement parts it's be perfect.

Molly's bike is awesome. I like it so much more than Samantha's tricycle (it actually is historically accurate) and it's better than Julie's bike (it's got wheels of the same size!) My grade: A- The bike is perfectly scaled, and the doll's hands just reach the handlebars. A perfect version has a mirror, horn and front light. I don't have the horn, but my front light still works! The basket is fastened firmly, and can hold a surprising amount without the bikee tipping. The pedal have elastic to slip over the doll's foot to hold her in place. There's a "kickstand" that is actually a prop - it's on both sides - which makes the bike very stable. There are guards on the wheels to keep a skirt out, and a cargo rack. Also, the pedals actually work a chain! My two main issues with the bike is that you cannot put both the doll's feet into the elastic on the pedals at once. This means you have to do some careful balancing when you first put the doll on. The other issue is that I would have really liked something to use to hold cargo on to the cargo rack. But there are incredibly little details that aren't important. This was an awesome item that I really wish had not retired!

I received my bike today and don't know if this is broke. The chain does not fit properly on the sprocket. You can turn the pedals and the chain moves the wheels and sprockets but then gets stuck. You have to force it to make it continue to pedal and move. I know this is a toy, but would expect this to work more smoothly. If the doll is riding the bike, the pedals should function properly. I have Julie's bike and the pedals work but are not connected to the chain, so the bike goes smoothly and does not stop suddenly. Thanks for your time to let me know if my bike is not functioning correctly.

The wheels on my Molly bike turn all the way around. The rear tire has a tendency to slip and make it bump the rear fender which sometimes makes it so the tire doesn't turn smoothly. I jiggle the rubber tire, and it's then fine though.
ETA: So yeah I think it's a pretty typical problem/design flaw with Molly's bike. The rear tire doesn't stay straight and bumps into the other parts.

I have two of Molly's bikes. One works fine. When I push the pedal, the pedal mechanism on the other bike it seems to stick. I am going to try some WD-40 and see if that helps. It may just need some lubrication. This bike is about 10 years old. The rear tires on my bikes don't bump into other parts. The chain that came with my bike fits properly.

I have two, and they both work beautifully.

Mine runs smoothly. It did rub on the front fender a bit, but I just stretch the fender and now it's fine.

I have Molly's bike. It isn't in the best of shape, but it runs. The handlebars are so loose, they can be pulled right off. I don't know if that's from lots of play, or how my stepsister had it set up in her closet for five years. It's also missing a pedal.

Mine has a pedal that falls off too, but I think I can fix it with a screw. I just bought mine off Ebay a month or so ago and am absolutely in love with it. Haven't had any rubbing, sticking or scraping issues that have been mentioned here. More importantly, Molly has a blast hauling her friend Linda around the neighborhood on the back!!!

Molly's bike works fine here. The chain and wheels are good. I put a little DW 40 on it when it arrived. My problem was the side mirror. It kept falling off. I took it to the iron works and had them solder it into place. No more twirling mirror. ^j^ Mrs.C.

I love this bike! It's perfect for so many eras, from Molly up to modern dolls. Ivy wanted to ride bikes with Julie so I found this one on ebay for Ivy. We had an old bike just like this when I was a kid in the 70's. Our old bike was bigger than my banana bike so I was thrilled to see Molly's bike is bigger than Julie's banana bike, too.
