Molly has a pre-Mattel pair of glasses and a Mattel pair from 2006. They both have metal wire frames and plastic lenses. The Pre-Mattel glasses: bigger frames, arched bridge and curved ear pieces and don't fit my Molly's head very well. They are too big for her face. They do fit "cousin Molly" (who lives with NellieGirl) much better than the Mattel pair she had. The glasses get stretched out over time and slide down off her face easily. Grade: B+ Molly's Mattel glasses feature smaller frames, curved bridge, and straight ear pieces. They fit snugly on her head and do not slide down her face at all. Grade: A

My Molly came in 2003 with the rounder lenses, curved arch glasses. They have held up well, though occasionally, the lenses pop out; all it needs is a pop back in, and they're fine. Basically, Molly's glasses are relatively sturdy (for me, anyways) and have held their own for almost six years.
My Grade: A

We have only had our Molly for 2+ years. We do have 2 pairs of glasses for her (not sure how that happened), we have not had any problems with either pair. Actually, I like the fact that they don't fall off easily. Overall I give them an A! D~

Molly's glasses are adorable! I got them last christmas so the durability hasn't really been tested. I have some trouble w/ the glare in photos, but you can get around it. They stay on the doll's face well.

How do you get them on, they certainly stay on really well as soon as they are on the doll, but I´m afraid to scratch her face, how do you put the glasses on it seems that they dont fit over her ears???

I have had my Molly doll for a year and a half and had not had 1 problem with her glasses. They are the Mattell glasses with frames that aren't as round. Sometimes they slide, but they never fall off her face. I love how the black plastic pieces at the end of the ear pieces never break. I would give these glasses an A+!

I have the very first version of Molly glasses and I love them, they are curved over the ears and fit snugly on my Kirsten and #7. I have to shake them pretty hard to get them to fall off. I guess I lucked out on that one They are so adorable A+!
