I found my sister's Our New Baby where he has been in exile on the top shelf of her closet for years. I never cared for baby dolls much but he is a really nice one. He has dark gray eyes, a little darker than Molly's and white blond eyelashes and a soft, squishy body with his arms outstretched as if asking for a hug. His vinyl is really soft and the only major flaw with him is that his head is really dirty and scuffed and my sister was about 10 when she got him and didn't play with him much at all. A+ ETA: Now Christopher is known as beebee (baby) and belongs to our niece. She has been playing with him since she was 14 months old and she just adores her baby. She drags him around, thumps him around, changes his diaper and hugs and kisses him. She prefers her baby naked at this point. This size baby doll is a little big for such a little girl but she doesn't seem to mind. A+ fun from an almost 2 year old. Baby can fit in a newborn onesie Baby Rosie continued to be played with by a second generation of girls before being shoved in the closet and sold off to a new owner.

This is Sarah Elizabeth, purchased for Christmas 1992. She was my first ever American Girl and is ever so loved. Her gray eyes and simple expression make her one of the prettiest baby dolls around....or at least I think so. She is wearing the ONB red denim jumper and shirt with a handmade bonnet. Grade: A+

I bought my ONB from a board member in Fall 2007. She is very cute, with molded hair (much more than the Bitty Babies), a sweet expression, and blond eyelashes. She is developing silver eye in her right eye, but I don't care too much as she is a play doll. She has a softer and more cuddly body than the Bitties and is real easy to snuggle up with. Overall grade: A+ for kids B+ for collectors because of silver eye

Our preloved, or new baby arrived today, and I agree with the others; her body is much more soft and flexible than even the very early BB I have. I love that her hands face up and def. better hair. Grade: A

Now we have ONB twins! Here is Billy: Betsy and Billy: Betsy isn't so sure, she likes sharing her new room
one of Betsy alone ETA: I changed the bow on Betsy's OBN sleeper to pink and gave her pink socks and Billy Blue socks, so it's easy to tell them apart

Where AG is concerned it's always been strictly 18in dolls for me. That is, until I fell for the ONB a board member had up for sale recently Meet Lily: There is something so appealing about this baby doll's sweet expression and the little arms reaching out (as QNPoohBear commented above) as if for a hug. When you hold the doll against your shoulder her hands fall in a way that suggests she is holding on. This is a very snuggly, cuddly doll indeed.

A darling baby doll and just perfect for a child and especially a child getting a new sibling. These dolls have matching eyelashes like the PC girls and are very soft and huggable. A friend has this one.
