I love these dolls and think their costuming, hair, expressions and books are wonderful! I was able to get all of them except Kathleen. Spring Pearl, Minuk are my favorites as far as expressions, but I love the uniqueness of Saba's and Leyla's clothing. Isabel is my favorite European doll - I love her dress and overskirt, but you are right Cécile is ravishing also. You just can't go wrong. If you like this style of doll - you should check out Ms. Kish's other dolls like Bitty Bethany, etc.

I have all of this line except for Kathleen. They are MUCH nicer in person than they look in their photos. They are so detailed and perfectly scaled. Where else have you ever seen an Ethiopian doll or a Turkish doll? Their stories are well written & researched and they don't talk down to girls.

I have Isabel, Minuk, and Neela. My sis has Cécile, Leyla, and Saba. I love these dolls! They are amazing! I love the attention to detail, like their tiny jewelry and the nice fabric. I wish Ag would make more collecter dolls that are meant to be displayed!

These dolls are beautiful. I never had the opportunity to own any of them myself, but I have seen them and think they are very intricate and lovely. The stories are really good too. If I ever come across one, I would love to get it.

These dolls are beautiful; although I don't own one myself, I have the books for Elizabeth, Neela and Kathleen and the stories are well-written and engaging. From looking at pictures, my favorite dolls are Elizabeth, Kathleen and Leyla... Such a pity the line was discontinued.

My mom's friend owns all eight and they are very amazing. My favorite is Kathleen as she is beautiful.

I have all except Kathleen and they are truly treasures! I would be more likely to keep these dolls over any of my 18" AG stuff (Felicity not included in that) just because of how really exquisite the details on them are! I still see new details that I never noticed before! Kathleen was my uber want!

I love GOML dolls...they're beautiful and very detailed, especially certain ones like Leyla. I've read all the books except for Leyla's (soon!) and have four of the dolls. It's too bad that they're retired now, but that just makes them extra special to me.

I have two of the dolls, Isabel and Leyla. I was impressed with the detailed clothes and engaging stories.

To my knowledge, there was never an Elizabeth doll...there was Isabel, though...she came in a red velvet dress.

I love the Girls of Many Lands..the clothing and accessories are exquisite. I would have to say Spring Pearl is my favorite.

Hi guys, I have a question on the Girls of Many Lands dolls.
Are they changeable, and is their clothing size compatible with any other doll lines?
I just started the books and like them, but don't want to buy a doll I can't change or build a wardrobe for.

As far as I know, their clothes don't come off. They're just display dolls, not play dolls.

`Their clothes come off and are nicely made. At my house Neela is Tía Dolores to my Mini Josefina. Mini Josefina and Tía Dolores by Crazyquilter, on Flickr I think Cécile looks like Mini Caroline's mother and I plan to dress her accordingly. I haven't decided yet if Ninuk will be Mini Kaya's mother or her friend. When I first got Neela, I put Blythe in her outfit. I don't remember if I tried any of the Blythe clothes on her, but if they fit they are widely available. I should try and see. I never bonded with Blythe, but I do like her clothes.

I have all the GOML dolls except Kathleen. These dolls are beautiful and exquisite. I have always been interested in world cultures and traditional clothing, so these have always greatly appealed to me.
Kathleen is so expensive on the secondary market compared to the others, and I am just not willing to pay that.
Hopefully someone will see this post and be able to answer…why is Kathleen so much more expensive compared to the others? I see her for sale more than Saba but she sells for much more! Maybe she was only available a short time??
