Grade: A+
Seeing as to how I live in the state that ahem, hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics, I was rather skeptical of this outfit at first. Skiing is rather big in Utah (uh, a big tourist thing like casinos in Vegas) and while I'm not much of a skier I have skied in the past and have owned a ski outfit. So an A grade from me means this set is pretty dang good.
This outfit is very much like something a girl or even a teenager would wear out here. It's very accurate. It consists of a ski sweater with embroidery, a ski vest with fake buttons (velcro closure, no zipper--one of its few flaws) ski gloves, ski lift ticket, ski pants and ski socks/shoes.
While most Utahans would opt for a ski coat (if your arms get wet while out there you won't notice it with a coat but you will with a vest) the vest is cute on Nicki. The lift ticket is very realistic, except in real life people usually attach them to the zipper on their coat or vest, as real skit coats/vests have both buttons and zippers.
The pants are very realistic and made of the same fabric as the real thing (the vest has similar fabric too, very realistic) and even have velcro in the sides so that like with the real thing (the real thing usually has buttons, though) you can get the ski boots on and off with ease. The socks are also very realistic--I had a pair similar to them to keep my own feet from freezing on the slopes. Overall, this set is very nice. Highly recommended. Nicer than any other ski outfit AG or Pleasant Company has ever made.

I would give this B and here is why.
I love the shirt and vest I can't wait for colder weather and pair them up with a pair of Jeans. They are a great color its not a red more of a rust. What is really neat is on the vest and lift ticket it say "Ski Colorado" you see all kinds of Merchandise with that on it so it make its seem more real These pieces I would give A+. The down fall of the outfit is the Ski paints They needed to be a different color. I never see White Ski paints around here they would get dirty to fast.I would have maybe used black to match the rest of the outfit. They are cute in design just wrong in color so the paints I would give C.

I just recieved this today and am so pleased. The mittens fit better than I would have thought possible on a doll. Everything is just CUTE! I do wish there was not velcro on the vest or the sweater shirt, but besides that I'm very satisfied.

I give this outfit an A-:
1) Price - at $28, it's just a little too high. At $26, it'd get an A+
2) I love that we have a winter outfit for dolls who live in colder areas.
3) I "desecrated" my outfit by taking the patch on her vest off with a seam ripper. I like how it looks much better this way. (I don't like ski-ing).
And of course, I love the shirt. I'd wear it*, and it goes with my favorite JLY outfit - the Sparkly Tunic Outfit.
*Not that that has any real bearing on whether it's a good outfit or not, but it looks SO comfy! Also, it's not pink.

I got this outfit on Friday, along with Niki's Gala outfit. I am really impressed with it so far.Everything is so cute. The shirt and vest are my favorite things in the set, I love the fur around the neck of the vest. The slipper/socks are cute but a little hard to put on. As for the pants and mittens, they are both really cute. For the whole set I give it an A+.

I love this outfit! The snowpants are adorable! The velcro in the front instead of a zipper. And they also have a cool orange design on the side. The vest is adorable! This also velcros. It has a hood which doesn`t go over Nicki`s head, but it is still cute! The shirt is red and cute, would pretty much go good on its own with a pair of jeans. The mitts are a cute touch to the outfit. Which are pretty easy to slip on! Along with the little boots! I love this outfit! I would rate it an A!

Ever since I saw the ski vest, I knew it was something I had to have. It is a really beautiful and deep rich red, with some kind of swirly pattern and peachish buttons. It has a fur-trimmed hood. I would wear it, which is a tall order for AG clothes. It's incredibly detailed and well-designed. A+, probably my favorite AG item ever. I probably wouldn't wear the sweater, but it will add some nice variety for my girl's wardrobe. A. I has some nice embroidery detail. The mittens are adorable, although I could have done without the AG logo on them. I guess it was inevitable, though, since there is no AG logo anywhere else on the outfit. A-. The ski pants are fine for being... ski pants. There is some detail on the bottom which matches the swirly designs the vest. This wouldn't be a good mix and match piece, but that's OK, I guess, since AG hasn't made a ski parka in a long time. A-. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep these, since my girl doesn't ski or snowboard at the moment. Maybe I'll hold onto them, though, just because the whole effect of the outfit is really cute. The sock/slipper things... I just can't figure out. Are they indoor shoes? Are they outdoor shoes? As a city girl, I would never ever ever wear these outside in winter. I am picturing my feet soaked with disgusting street slush. Gross. I guess I will use them as slippers for really cold nights. B- because I can't figure out their purpose. Overall, I do wish that they had done a jacket instead of a vest, and boots instead of slippers. I know that you can get the plastic ski boots from Nicki's Ski Gear, but it would have really increased the versatility. And to me, a vest is not sufficient for winter wear. I wear a vest UNDER my winter jacket or in the fall/spring. If you're wearing snowpants and mittens, you should probably have a real coat. And the slipper things are just kind of dumb to me, but I'm not a skiier so I don't really know what skiiers would really wear. Maybe it's an apres ski thing. I give the whole an A- though, despite these logic issues, because it's so cute.

I would rate this outfit an A+! There are very few things I will pay after-market prices for, and this was one of them! My daughter decided after the fact, in Jan. that she really wanted this outfit. I waited and got it on eBay for $36.00, and I still rate it an A+!
Great colours, great design and just too cute and accurate in the styling! I'd wear this on the slopes!

Nicki's Ski Wear Item# F6209 $28 Nicki's ready for some ski time, and she'll have everything she needs with this outfit. Nicki says, "Let it snow!" She's ready to hit the slopes in her ski outfit, featuring: A funnel-neck sweater Nylon ski pants with contrast stitching and a graphic on the left leg Matching logo-print mittens and sweater-knit slipper socks to keep her toasty warm Her favorite vest, featuring a faux-fur-trimmed hood, a reflective patch, and a lift ticket that clips on with a tab, also included. This is a fabulous set. The sweater looks so good with jeans or a skirt and on just about every doll. A great winter wear set for anyone. Grade A.

This outfit is my sister's, but I shamelessly borrow it all the time. Overall, the two things I love about this outfit are it is largely realistic, and it's red Sweater - love it. The material is so thick and soft and every time I put the sweater on a doll I always find myself thinking that she must be so cozy and warm! I like the embroidery detail and neckline. Grade: AVest - I love how this is so "real"! I know tons of people who have puffy vests like this. The fur is a fun, young addition that doesn't seem unrealistic either. I also like that it has a hood. I could've done without the ski place logo but hey, it's AG and they like logos. I also like that a ski tag is attached. Around 4th and 5th grade (Nicki's age) it was really "cool" to come back to school after a weekend with a new ski tag attached to your coat. Grade: APants - Again, very realistic! They look and FEEL like real snowpants or ski pants. In this way they are kind-of a niche item (not really useful for mix and match) but items like that are fun too. The detailing on the bottom isn't too obnoxious - I actually like it. Grade: AMittens - I don't want to repeat myself but they look and feel like real mittens. I'm not a huge fan of the colors though. They are a coral/orangeish color (similar to the detailing on the sweater and pants) and brown. It's not a bad color combo but doesn't exactly match the rest of the outfit. I think if they had used white instead of brown, it would have tied into the rest of the outfit more. Grade: B+Shoes - I think these are supposed to be like the knit Uggs. Or I am telling myself that. I think they are cute, and perhaps just thick socks you would wear under ski boots? This is the only part of the outfit that might be unrealistic. But, I like them. Grade: A-Overall Grade: A Outfit minus shoes/slippers/socks and mittens. Close-up - love the pattern on the vest! Just the sweater.

I've had this for a couple years, and it's one of my favorites. I absolutely love the vest and shirt. The both seem very realistic to me and I get a lot of use out of them since they look great with jeans.
