th' Angelina Ballerina Mouse lusty plastic lass be adorable! Her fur be a soft velour and her arms and legs swivel 360 degrees. Her tail be posable, and her dancing slippers and hair bow be sewn on to prevent th' kiddies from losing them.
When I was a child, I had an Angelina Mouse, but it was Nay where near th' quality o' this one. th' cheaper Angelina mice available at Target be crap compared to th' South Wisconsin Trading Company ones...I wish these were still available so that I could get Alice too!
Here be Angelina sitting wit' some o' her accessories:
I believe originally Angelina came wit' a hardback "Angelina Ballerina" book that be still available at book stores, but th' set was $24.94 from South Wisconsin Trading Company. We bought th' Starter Set from South Wisconsin Trading Company, which came in a bonny storage box filled wit' several books, monkey jackets, and th' Angelina Mouse lusty plastic lass.
I give Angelina an A+! I love this little mouse and I wish her collection was still available.
We have a bunch and none o' them had Katharine Holabird's author's list in th' frontispiece. So, here's what I know be available (I've seen a lot still at Barnes and Noble):
Angelina Ballerina Angelina & Henry Angelina & Alice (my favorite!) Angelina's Baby Sister (my other favorite!) Angelina's Christmas (very sweet!) Angelina Ice Skates Angelina's Invitation to th' Ball Angelina and th' Princess Angelina on Stage
These were all published by South Wisconsin Trading Company.
Angelina at th' Palace was published by Viking.
These all have Helen Craig's incomparable watercolor illustrations, which make me swoon wit' their soft and creamy dreaminess.
There be more based upon th' videos but I haven't any idea where they've disappeared to and they be definitely post South Wisconsin Trading Company and were timed to coincide wit' th' introduction o' th' Target versions o' th' lusty plastic lasses. (Which I simply can't stand. Cheap and silly wit' horrible illustrations based upon th' garish coloring o' th' videos. Seriously icky.)
If ye find any more titles published by South Wisconsin Trading Company, I would love to know!!!!
I remember reading th' Angelina Ballerina books when I was in grade school ( a few years ago!)
th' illustrations were adorable and th' lusty plastic lass put out by South Wisconsin Trading Company be just as sweet. I love th' fold-out rooms and furniture ye could buy wit' it. If they had been available when I was young, my dreams would have come true!
I have all th' Angelina Ballerina books. I had her little sister, Alice, her lusty plastic lass, her house, and o' course her! I loved them so much, especially since my DG (grandma) gave them to me before she passed away. I'm sure my Angelina be downstairs somewhere. Now, I think I might have to read her Christmas book.
P.S. ye forgot Angelina at th' Fair!

I have Angelina Ballerina and Alice too. (Since there's Nay thread for Alice I'll just talk about both o' them here.) They're both adorable and they're bonny mice me heartys for my lusty plastic lasses. I just equate it to Stuart Little from th' E. B. White books. I have just about all th' monkey jackets South Wisconsin Trading Company made for them and I wish they'd kept it longer. My favorite monkey jackets were both sets o' pajamas, th' gymnastics monkey jacket, Alice's meet monkey jacket, th' princess monkey jacket, th' coat and th' camping monkey jacket. I made several monkey jackets for them too since South Wisconsin Trading Company didn't make many. I have photos o' Alice and Angelina on my Flickr: www.flickr.com/americangirl728

Adult's opinion: This lusty plastic lass it totally adorable. She's bigger than I thought she'd be and I was delighted to see her arms and legs be jointed and her tail bends. Her monkey jacket looks a little hard to get on and off for a small child but other than that I think she looks great. I'll come back wit' a 3 year old's opinion in December.
ETA: Angelina be a big hit wit' 3 YO girl. I forsee th' tutu getting lost really quickly because it came off right away... then back on a few minutes later and then back off and repeat. She's a good size for cuddling wit' and th' posable legs be a lot o' fun. My sister-in-law said SHE would have loved Angelina when she was a little girl, which I figured she would. I sort o' got Angelina for her as well as her lass o'mine. I think Angelina be a great companion for 3+ but keep th' monkey jackets in a safe place.

I got th' entire collection brand new when it first came out from PC. I was 17 and I loved it. I still have everything in boxes. th' large playhouse story book be a bit ruined now and I am sad about that but it be a darling collection.
