Our Elizabeth hardly stays historical. She looks good in everything. I say she's a must for all AG lovers.

Elizabeth was my first doll, and the first really expensive purchase I saved up my own money to buy. I got her with babysitting money saved over a long time. I really wanted an AG and it had to be Elizabeth! She had just come out and I was ecstatic. I loved Felicity's time period, and I have blonde hair and the name Elizabeth! A++ But I'm just sentimental. Those pincurls got brushed out because I was younger and dumb enough to try to brush them. xD But otherwise her hair is phenomenal. Love my Elizabeth!!!! The dress gets a B just because I don't think it's that pretty. The color is strange and the yellow ribbons on the center with the pearls on them, fray easily. Be careful with the dress!!

My new Elizabeth (second one in our home). I can definitely tell a difference between the older Elizabeths and my new one. This new one has rounder cheeks!

I think Elizabeth is a stunning doll who looks good in everything. I especially like how she looks in Felicity's outfits and Felicity's holiday gown in particular.

Elizabeth is just all around beautiful! She looks good in every time and all types of clothes. She is amazingly elegant and I think looks older than my other dolls. This is an old picture, but I think it captures her beauty best out of all of them.

I tried NOT to love Elizabeth... three times. I ended up selling two Ebay Elizabeths with many a regret. One time by choice, the second time out of necessity (moved to a tiny house and needed to downsize). I recently purchased a brand-new Elizabeth direct from AG. She arrived 3 weeks ago and hasn't left my desk since!! Here's what I love about her, and missed about her when I didn't have her: Her hair~ it's thick, wavy, a beautiful shade of blonde, fun to style, always looks pretty Her face mold~ Josefina's face mold, which is a matter of preference but it's my fave mold Her eyes~ I adore her blue eyes with her blonde hair. And I actually prefer her thin eyebrows to the thicker feathered look because it seems to suit her. Her personality~ She's a versatile doll that can fit into many time periods. For me, she is a Regency era girl. She has a fresh, innocent appearance, and is just EXUDES sweetness!! I shall never go Elizabethless again!!! And therefore, I think you should give her a chance to take over your heart as well.

DD11 just got Elizabeth for Christmas and we love her! Here hair is lovely - so much easier then Lanie's! Her dress is nice - I'm disappointed that there isn't more of a slip underneath and who don't these girls come with underwear!! DD11 has wanted her for over 2 years and finally Santa has come thru for us. We love her shoes and her knee high stockings. I think she might be the first doll we're going to keep historical!!

Just got Elizabeth (Julia in my family) for Christmas, and she is one of the prettiest dolls in my collection by far!!! She's got the most luxurious long hair, and it's very silky and smooth. Those pincurls are too adorable. Her face just looks so sweet, and her eyes are a soft blue- not striking and extremely light as shown in the AG stock photos. In fact, that's the reason why I didn't get her sooner- the stock photos are dreadful!
Meet outfit: Wonderful! It's incredibly detailed. The pink color is gorgeous, and the patterns on the dress are just exquisite. I love the old yet delicate and fancy look of the sleeve frillies, they're just precious!
Overall: A+ for pretty miss Elizabeth.

I love my Elizabeth! I have had her since early October 2010. She is my very first best friend doll. My goodness, she is gorgeous! I absolutely LOVE her pincurls and I am taking exceedingly good care not to brush them out like I did by accident with my poor Felicity in 2005. I too think she looks best in modern clothes. I really like her meet dress as well. I don't understand why AG made it look so like Felicity's Christmas gown... Oh well! I do have a question regarding the "green ear" problem. My Elizabeth did not have that problem when I opened her and now after reading this post, I checked her ears and they are, in fact green around the earholes. I was just wondering if this was a factory defect, and if it will spread. I'd advise anyone who is reading this now to take the advice of the reviewers before me and try putting the clear nail polish on the studs to avoid this problem. Its too late for my Elizabeth, I'm afraid Other than that I love her and I give her an A-

Elizabeth is probably one of the most important dolls in my collection, not because of her story or how she looks, but because I received her as a Christmas/Chanukah gift from my grand-mother who was my second mother as I lived with her all my life. The day after receiving her she had a stroke and passed away five days later on the 31st. Elizabeth isn't my favorite doll nor is she incredibly beautiful IMO, however she was the last gift I received from my grandmother and therefore she is the third most important doll in my collection. I can't even begin to describe the happy and bittersweet memories this doll invokes, she really was the perfect last gift. Grade: A

I went to AGPD in October 2010, not intending to buy a doll, and I left with Elizabeth! She is just gorgeous. The Josefina mold suits her perfectly. Her meet dress is much cooler in person, since it's more of a shimmery pink/orange than as scary pink as it looks in photos. It's a gorgeous gown and the shoes match really well. I do hate the fact that I started reading Felicity's books after I purchased Elizabeth to find Elizabeth has dark hair and eyes, then suddenly had a dye job and contacts in her own book. I give her a B+ overall. The best part about Elizabeth? Her hair! Her wig is very thick and you can do just about anything with her hair. The pincurls can be obnoxious, but they're a million times easier to take care of than Felicity's. Her earrings are a nice touch, and luckily my girl is green-ear free (wish I could say the same thing about my Ivy!). My girl keeps her pearl necklace on 24/7. I very much recommend Elizabeth! Especially if you're an aspiring hair stylist. Here she is in Felicity's newer meet dress Hair down! Here's another nice hair shot. Her profile is really photographic. She also makes a GREAT witch come Halloween! ETA: I have posted these photos on a few different threads, and thought they would be more useful here. This is Elizabeth's original hairstyle before I ever took it out. It is a four-piece braid.

Elizabeth is the 1st AG I bought brand new. I ordered her on the last day of 2010. Happy New Year to me! I think she is gorgeous. I had read she wouldn't have underpants because at that time in history females didn't wear them! She has a pair on now! Reading through this thread made me go look at her ears. I think I checked just in the nick of time. One of the posts is starting to discolor. The other one is still a bright shiny brass. Now both posts are out until I get them coated with something. I didn't get anything else as far as clothes or accessories for her. I am having fun sewing these for her. I made her a fresh water pearl necklace, bracelet and ear drops. So far most of the things I have made for her are modeled after things in Felicity's wardrobe because I like them better and think they look better on Elizabeth. I really think a lot of Elizabeth's clothes would look better on Felicity. She gets an A+ from me! <mod edit to remove broken image links>

Elizabeth Cole truly is a beautiful doll and once you get over the fact that AG changed her, than you're fine. I give her an A because her pincurls annoy me, but I ended up brushing them out in the end. She looks good in most things, and her pretty long blonde hair is easy to style, it just takes patience. After hearing about the green ear thing, now my Elizabeth doesn't really wear her earrings much, since I've found that two of her posts have stains on them.

I don't have Elizabeth's meet outfit because I purchased this doll used and intend for her to be a modern girl so I'm only reviewing the doll herself. I was in love with this doll from the pictures here before she was retired, but didn't purchased her because she wasn't the doll my daughter wanted. I didn't decide I wanted a doll for myself until after she was gone. I bid on several new and used Elizabeth's on e-bay before finding a deal on a nude one here. I love the Josefina face mold with Elizabeth's blue eyes and light complection. I love her pin curls. I love the texture and length of her hair. I love everything about this doll! Here are some photos of my modern Elena in her Sapphire Party Outfit:

I'm obviously a bit late with this, but I had to review this doll... I found Elizabeth at a thrift store with Nellie and Kailey for under $5 each. At the time, I already had Molly and Samantha. Anyway, I would give Elizabeth an A because I love the Josefina face and she really is a very beautiful doll with her hair and eye combination. Her hair is also very glossy and shiny. Even though I kind of got a deal on mine I would still have paid the retail price for her. The only disappointment is in her not looking like Lizzie did in the books.

I love my Elizabeth doll. She was my first and will always be my favorite. She is beautiful and versatile to any time period. Mine has been dressed modern, Kirsten era, Samantha era and her own. I pretty we'll keep her historical now that I have other dolls. She is awesome.

Since buying Elizabeth, she has become one of my favorite dolls. She has the most beautiful, startling blue eyes. Her hair is smooth, and easy to care for (and style, if you so wish). I am very happy with her, and I would give her an A grade.
Her Meet Outfit is a slightly different story. Her shoes, stockings, and shift are very good quality, but I am less pleased with her Meet dress. I feel like AG was going for a silk dupioni/duochrome effect when they chose the fabric for this dress, but the execution is decidedly poor. The main pink fabric feels very cheap. The patterned portion of the skirt and the stomacher portion look nice enough - the ribbon detailing is nice, and that is perhaps the only thing I like about it. This receives a C+.

Elizabth's meet shoes are so cute with the pink bows. I love to use them with Felicity's birthday dress. They also look cute with her Town Fair gown.
