This outfit is worn by Elizabeth in the DVD Felicity: An American Girl Adventure. It was released in 2005 and retired in 2010.
When it's time for her lesson at Miss Manderly's, slip your Elizabeth doll into this light blue gown with a ribbon rosette and attached apron, a lace mob cap, and satin slippers.
This is a very pretty gown. I have had NO problems with the lace, infact it doesn't seem fragile at all! I guess ag has fixed it. The dress itself is nicley made and great iteam to add to your collection! I give this gown a A

I really like this dress too. The fabric is some sort of silk. It isn't very smooth and shiny but it looks very nice, and the color matches Elizabeth's eyes. If you want to use it as a school dress, remove the neckercheif (unlike Felicity's, it's a removable part). It looks much simpler, but more like a rich girl's dress than Felicity's school (not tea) dress. The lace, as Horsejumper said, is not really that fragile, but it is not for children under seven (unless they are unusually careful). Love, Sitara

I bought this dress for Felicity, and the pastel looks really cute on her. Not sure how historically accurate the lacey apron part of the dress is though. The dress has a textured feel to it, I think it is some kind of polyester blend, but you can see little nubbins in the weave that add character to the ensemble. The apron part is not removable, but the neck kercheif part is- it has a hook closure in the front under the flower. The mob cap is the same lacey fabric as the apron. I like this dress because it's so different from the rest of Felicity's collection.

This dress is absolutely beautiful. I like every aspect of it. The shoes will not stay on- but the shoes Elizabeth came with go fine with this gown. The lace is the best. The neck shawl is a very nice touch. A.

Elizabeth's Tea Lesson Gown
Grade: A
Pro's: The outfit is nicely made and is very pretty.
Con's: I didn't like the shoes, but these can easily be substituted with her meet shoes.
Detailed Review: The dress is very pretty and has the look of linen (imperfect texture) which adds character, but feels like some sort of polyester blend. It is very nice. The lace and detail on the dress is very pretty. Individually I gave the dress itself an A. As for the mob cap, it is very pretty. It is made very well and has a pretty ribbon accent, so it gets an A. The shawl/handkerchief which goes over the dress is nice but nothing special. My 'Lizzy tends to wear the outfit without it. The pin is kind of cheap. I give the shawl a B. The shoes are boring plain light pink slip ons and are not historically accurate at all. Plus they will not fit with the socks on. Overall the outfit is a must-have but I would use different shoes!

On my 2006 Lizzie, the shoes fit over her stockings, but rather awkwardly. They make the shoes look rather lumpy, but thank God, it makes it look more accurate. My outfit is also from 2006.

My friend owns this outfit... she's borrowing one of mine atm, and I'm borrowing this from her. Thought I'd give my two cents. This dress is really pretty... probably the best one from Elizabeth's collection. My friend uses this for her PM #20 who time travels. It looks stunning on her! I have it on Taylor, my time traveling #25, and it looks better on her than I expected. The quality of the gown is fairly nice. I like the material, although it feels a mite thin. The lace is not as fragile as some have reported, but this set was bought at AGPLA just this year. The kerchief is a nice addition, but as other reviewers noted, is nothing special. The shoes fit well on Rachel (the PM #20), but are rather roomy on Taylor. For the price, I wish there were stockings included. Taylor had to cover her legs with inaccurate tights. The lace mob cap is adorable... but it fits a little strangely. It seems to sit too high on the head, but maybe I'm just imagining things. Overall, I'd give this set a B+.

Not sure how historically accurate the lacey apron part of the dress is though. The lace apron is very historically sound. Here are some paintings of the time which demonstrate: And this dress from Williamsburg might have even been the inspiration. It includes the lace apron and the kerchief.

I think it's a cute outfit. My only complaint is that part of the hat ripped. Other than that the outfit is fine. I got it after returning a JLY outfit my mom bought that I didn't like, otherwise it would have been too expensive.

Here's a picture of it on my Elizabeth. This outfit does have it's problems, mainly the fragility of the lace in the cuffs and cap. Mine tore when I first got it, but I fixed it myself and I just make sure to be careful with it now. I still think it is a good outfit overall because I love the way it looks on Elizabeth.

This is a very pretty, delicate dress. The dress is made from a material that resembles corded silk in a nice baby blue shade. The lace cuffs and apron are sheer and delicate. Unfortunately this dress is way too small to fit nicely on a PM AG or similarly fluffy friend. I do not have the cap or fichu. Grade: A- Paired with Felicity's summer outfit cap Paired with Felicity's straw hat

This outfit really brings out Elizabeth's blue eyes. I like that the dress has a texture to it and the flower pattern of the lace is lovely. The lace used for the cap and apron is much more sturdy than what was used for Felicity's Summer Cap. The fichu is a nice addition although I think that if the clasp closure was slightly lower the fichu would lay nicer and not look as bunched around Elizabeth's neck. Lastly the shoes are very difficult to fit over stockings, but I managed to make it happen with some determination because as a proper young gentle woman Elizabeth would never think to go around bare ankled! Grade: B-
