thought i'd get this because someone said that the Best friend mini dolls were retireing. she completed my mini friend dolls and friends.
Anyway, specacular. her hair is so soft and her dress is gorgous. i've only had her for a day, so if i have any problems, i'll repost, but yes, she is (from what i've seen) just like the full size doll.
A+

Her dress is beautiful, and so is her hair. Her skin tone is a little too olive for me, but otherwise she's gorgeous. Elizabeth was my first mini doll and I was very pleased with her. She has only one fault: her shoes fall off VERY easily and they're rounded on the bottom, which makes it hard to stand her up. But they're very detailed--I loved the little pearls sewn on top of the ribbons!
ETA: More thorough review: I purchased the doll in November of 2005. She came in a burgundy box.
the Doll: LOVE this doll; she is so beautiful! Her hair is gorgeous, soft blond. Tied with a ribbon in back. The curls, after four years, are starting to come out somewhat. Her little wispies are very cute and aren't saturated with hair gel like Mini Felicity's.
the Dress: Gorgeous dress. Made from a shimmery pink (I want to say taffeta, but not sure) with a brocade insert in the skirt front and tiny seed pearls & bows sewn to the stomacher. I was amazed at the amount of detail in this dress. Tiny ruching trims the front. The lace at the sleeves is real cotton spun lace. Nice.
the Shoes: very pretty, trimmed with tiny pink bows and seed pearls. However, one of the bows will never stay crossways and the shoes have a great tendency to fall off, as stated above.
the Stockings: nice quality stockings, soft cotton. Exactly like Mini Felicity's.
the Shift: exactly like Mini Felicity's, again. Thin cotton, velcro.

Elizabeth Mini Doll Item# GCAXR $22 "This 6 1/2 inch mini-doll brings Elizabeth’s world to life on a smaller scale. She arrives dressed in an outfit authentic to the colonial era. Plus, she comes with Very Funny, Elizabeth!, a miniature version of her book that follows her and best friend Felicity in 1774." Mini-Elizabeth is so pretty. Her dress is very well made and looks just like the big version. Her legs are two different lengths, which seems typical of the Mattel mini-dolls, but you can get her to stand. She does not have any earrings of any type. Still she gets an A from me.

My dd got this doll as a gift this week from my SIL. She is just freaking adorable. I love her and so does my daughter. The little book is great, the mini box is too, and the doll is even prettier than her 18" counterpart. The Josefina mold works great in mini - so her face is too too cute. I definitely recommend her.

A+ I have had my eye on this mini doll ever since I noticed Elizabeth; I have a "thing" for her meet gown (I've always had a thing for Felicity's Christmas Gown, specifically the combo that resembles Elizabeth's dress, so to have it in pink..) so when I decided to *finally* get a couple Mini Dolls Elizabeth was on the list. Like all the mini dolls she is a true miniature of the larger dolls; with a cloth body, neck strings, and joints. I love this. My Elizabeth's shoes do not come off very easily, so that is a good thing, and I just love how she looks. Here' s a picture of my #8 in Elizabeth's gown, holding Mini Elizabeth (I love doing these kinds of photos).

I don't like mini's because AG tries to make them proportionally accurate to the bigger ones and in the process this somehow makes them look funny. But I received the Elizabeth Mini as a gift from someone who only knows I collect AG and have Elizabeth, and I'm happy I got her because as far as the mini's go, she's adorable! Most of the minis I would give a C but Elizabeth deserves a B+!
The attention to detail is there, and the shoes and socks are soo cuute! If you are into minis this is THE mini you HAVE to have! Or if you have the big Elizabeth she is a very cute companion to her.
It's my opinion not to take the hair out though because mini hair is quite cheap quality compared to the 18 inch girls.
Also, once you remove the shoes, expect them to fall off a lot. For some reason they don't fall off easily until you remove them once.
