25 arrived in our house shortly after Christmas. I bought her with some late Christmas money. She has the traditional face mold with very shiny, very silky black hair. I didn't really notice too many at first, but she does have some brown highlights when the light hits her head just right. Her wig is thin compared to the girls we previously had which were the ones with bangs. Her hair is longer than Kit's but shorter than AG 4. She has deep dark brown eyes. I give her an A- simply because I was honestly disappointed with her wig.

This is another one of their perfect dolls. I love the hair color - it's not black or brown, and I like the mingled look. I love the brown eyes. I think it sets off the light skin tone just perfectly. My Noel has got to be one of the prettiest dolls they made! The minute I saw this doll in the catolog, I new I had to have one. My only complaint is the ide part. I really don't like the side parts. I do wish that the part was in the middle, but relly, it's pretty trivial. I do love the doll and give it high ratings. A+ A+

I have 2 of these. They look exaclty identical I for the life of me can't tell them apart! They're my only duplicate dolls that have this issue. But anyway, I am in awe of this doll. AWE. What a lovely doll! The hair is so pretty and is at the perfect length, as well! It hangs nicely to. A+

I love my Isabella and I'm so glad that I have this doll. I had some trouble getting one with a good wig as well, and to be honest I had to go through two before I got this one. This newer one has a much better and thicker wig and she is here to stay. The hair and eye combination is amazing!

I LOVE this doll! I named mine Rory after Gilmore Girls. She is my most spoiled doll, I think. I wasn't even going to get one of the today dolls until I saw "real" pictures of her. When she first came out, her online photos were awful! Her face was all fat and didn't show at all how beautiful she really is. I love her to pieces, but do agree some with her hair being thin. I normally leave it down, but it's really pretty like that. She's the doll that looks most like me, even her side part is the same as mine. Gorgeous girl!! (dead image link removed)

I'm just afraid that if and when I get her, I'll have a hard time telling her apart from Jess. They look different enough to tell apart from one another, but I didn't get Jess because I felt like I wouldn't give her much attention since I love #25 much more. I got Sophie Amélie in December 2006, and I just LOVE her! Her bangless black/brown hair and dark brown eyes just make her stunning and, in my opinion, one of the prettiest JLYs currently available. She's one of my favorites for sure! Due to its "slippery" nature, her hair is a bit hard to style in fancy hairstyles, but it's entirely possible--you just need a little (okay, a lot of) patience. It's also a little on the thin side, but I don't mind simply because I've got thin hair myself. She's marked "Pleasant Company" and arrived in the I Like Your Style! meet outfit. Ashleigh Rocks! This doll is really great, her features are just STUNNING! Her hair not thin by any means! It is just silky and has brown highlights. Her skin is very fair and quite lovely. Her hair is easy to keep up and she is just amazing! A++++

As my debut post, here are some pictures of my AG 25: Elise Miriam Jones. Why does she have such a vanilla surname if she's Mediterranean? Because she's adopted.
I give her an A. The only reason she's missing the + is because she has straight hair while a large majority of Mediterranean women have wavy or curly hair.

Since when is #25 supposed to be Mediterranean? I plan to make mine Hungarian, a lot of people on this board made theirs French, Colette's was Pueblo, and even AG seems to be presenting her as Polynesian in the catalogs lately. It's okay if yours is Mediterranean, but it seems sort of odd the way you worded it, like AG made the doll to be that way and did it wrong (not to mention misleading to people considering getting it).

Wow, guys! Well, back to the subject here.
I got JLY #25 several months ago. I named mine Juanita Mae Bankson after my grandmother after I learned that her cancer had come back and that my grandpa was in the hospital. My doll is from Switzerland, after my own ancestors.
Her hair is very nice and shiny but is the hardest to style of all my dolls. I can get it into pigtails, two braids, part braids, put up slightly, or put up with barrettes on either side with minimal effort. Her hair is pretty short.
I hate the outfit she came in, the I Like Your Style outfit, and Juanita only uses the underwear and the skort every once in a while.
Grade: A+
I agree that JLY #25 can be for virtually any group of people (many Europeans and European immigrants come to mind) and can also represent biracial people (people who are half Polynesian, Tongan, even half Asian, Native American, etc).

#25 has gorgous hair, a beautiful face, and looks great in almost every way. But then again, maybe I'm just saying that 'cause she looks like me. ;D Actually, I find my Sophie's hair to be, while not thick, a quite reasonable thickness. Yes, it is slippery, but I don't mind! I tried tying a knot in her hair and it slid right out. Which is a good thing for me. I enjoy putting her hair in french braids, ponytails, and buns. My favourite hair-style for her is a hairband. I can't stand her hair falling into her pretty little eyes all the time, but I like it down. She can be any culture. Mine is from London, England. My Sophie Claire is to die for... I finally got some pictures!

Funny, I thought #25 she was Asian all this time. All the women in my family have huge round eyes and we were from southern China and Vietnam. Our closest look-a-like doll is #25, rather than the Asian JLY or Jess. I think in certain angles and lighting her eyes can look a little bit almond-shaped, though I don't think all folks coming from Asia necessarily have almond-shaped eyes. It's just that the deep brown eyes and the straight black, deep brown hair that gave me the impression she was Asian (and no, not all Asians have straight hair, and yes, some, including myself, have shades of dark brown in the hair). I guess that's why I like this doll so much. She has features that don't necessarily force her to be defined as part of any one particular race or ethnic group. Thanks, those were very nice pictures.

This is the doll that I got my dd#3. We both love her and are having a fun time styling her hair which is beautiful! My dd who's name is Kyla named her doll Kyla too! She is so pleased with her and is enjoying trying to find new outfits for her.
I would recommend her too!

The Big Brown Truck just came by about an hour ago and brought this doll home to me. I agree that the official AG pictures do not do this doll justice, she's absolutely gorgeous!
One of my favorite things about this doll is that her features really do not define her as any particular race or ethnic group, as others have mentioned.
She is my first Mattel-era doll; and I have noted the differences between her and my PM Molly. Lighter skin tone, more face paint, narrower face, softer hair, and harder vinyl. I think she might actually be overstuffed, because the outfits I've bought fit just as snugly as they do on Molly.
All in all, I love this doll. I liked her when I saw AG's pictures, liked her even more when I saw the pictures of her on this thread and other places on this forum, and I love her even more in person.
A+

My 25 is cute. I named her sunny she was my first doll, and my only complaints are that on the side of her head, her wig cap has a chunk of material sticking up, and her hair seems almost greasy after time, but that could be because of it's slipperyness. she's really cute, and looks cute in everything, especially the springtime sundress. my doll is very skinny. The coconut play outfit Pants look like clown pants on her. she looks cute in pigtails and ponytails. I love her lots. I am glad they finally made a JLY with my coloring, and she seems very popular.

She is by far my favourite JLY doll! I love her hair - it looks great in most styles I've put it in. She also looks good in just about anything. My grade: A+

#25 is really a great doll! She was my first-ish AG her hair is a bit short for my taste. and it is kinda thin Mine is Mexican/Puerto Rican. Back to her hair the options with her hair are kinda limited due to texture and length.

I just got her, and I adore her! She is, like others mentioned above, a very pretty and sophisticated-looking doll. Her wig is prone to flyaways, though, and her hair texture itself would be described best as "fine." Also worth noting is that mine came with short hairs in the back, which older #25s don't have. A+

My #25 appears to be slightly darker than most I've seen, which is great for me because I tend to like the medium-skinned dolls more. My doll in Polynesian from Tahiti. She has an exotic look about her. Her name is Kmani.

This doll is absolutely lovely. With her long straight dark hair that somewhat slides over her eyes she is beautiful. I haven't seen any imperfections in her and she is one of my favorites. I give her a perfect A+

I just bought my #25- Phoebe Kristine, at AGPC. I was considering a few JLY dolls and when I saw this particular #25 (after looking at a few) this was the one I had to have. I think she is just gorgeous. I also got her ears piereced, which I think adds to her beauty. I will add more pics soon but to start out with here is her, freshly arrived home. I give this doll an A+!

I got #25 on July 17th 2009. She is such a beautiful doll! She has black hair with little brown highlights and chocolate brown eyes. Her hair is very silky and smooth but it's really hard to put a bun in her hair with out it getting messy. Her hair can also get a little oily sometimes and gets caught in her eye. Thats why I like putting her hair up with a scrunchy or a mini clip, but other then that I think she's the prettiest out of all the JLY girls. I give this cutie a B+ only because of hair issues.

Our #25 is named Olivia. She belongs to my DD who is now 7 years old. Olivia is beautiful and very sweet. We all love to play with her hair. We mostly leave it down since it is so pretty just the way it is... The contrast between her light skin and her dark hair really makes for a striking beauty.
