GT 16 has beautiful dark brown hair and brown eyes. Her coloring is the same as Mattel Samantha's. Her hair is shorter than Samantha's and layered. Her hair is almost identical to Susanna (Goetz Little Sisters) but a little longer layers. Her hair is fun to style and she looks cute in modern and historical clothes and also casual and dressy. Basically, she looks cute in anything. Photos are of Traveling Zipporah (AG*Zipporah)

One of my friends has her. I'm pretty sure she got her around 2007. She's a pretty doll, with cute hair and nice brown eyes. But, every time I look at her I think Samantha even though #16's hair isn't curly. She's a nice doll, but not one of my favorites. Grade: A.

I had #16 temporarily. I got her for a friend from the Fall '09 outlet sale thanks to a marvelous PS (AGPT member). She lived with my dolls for awhile so I could get photos to go with her "GOTY" book and to make some special albums for my friend. Overall, I think #16 was really cute but I would not have kept her for myself. I think part of it was being weirded out by having a doll who looked/acted exactly like my friend, but I also thought she looked very similar to Samantha. I could easily tell them apart and the two dolls had different expressions, but the similarity would be something I'd take into consideration if I was considering #16 or Sam. I loved the expression this #16 had. She always looked like she was eager to have fun. She came in the I Like Your Style outfit and pie bangs (plus purple sneakers instead of those horrid boots), which led me to believe she could have been overstock (this was after they revised the bangs). She did have a bit of bang weirdness; on one side a maybe 1cm section of bangs looked a little longer than the rest of them. Her wig was neither really thick or really thin. She had the fly-away type hair (however, this could be because I live in a very dry climate) and it was very shiny, but overall easy to take care of. Note, I didn't style it much besides to put it in her "meet" hairstyle (half-pony) because she was a gift, but I did brush it when needed. I think her looks stand out and I love the contrast of dark hair with light skin, but her coloring is virtually the same as Samantha's. For $25... I don't think I could've done better! Comparison with Sam

I owned #16 for a few years. She was nearly identical to my Sam. I have pictures of them taken at the same time: Can you guess which one is 16? It took a lot of squinting for me to figure it out.. Sam is holding her doll. 16 is wearing Sam's christmas dress and holding a teddy. I called 16 Claira. My suggestion is, if you want the looks of Sam without the price tag. Go for a 16.

Though #16 was not one of the ones retired during the 2012 outfit change, I ordered one shortly before the meet change (mostly for her meet outfit, IU code, and box). I intended to switch the new doll out with my previous revised-banged doll anyways, but was expecting another revised doll. Instead I got one of the retired #16 dolls. I had never seen a pie-banged #16 before, so I was interested and not unhappy that I was sent this one. Pictures (I thought I had one of her in the box, but I guess I forgot to take one): My doll on left and new doll on right in her meet. Differences in bangs - my doll on right this time and new doll in her new clothes Seeing as how they clearly have old stock of #16 I am kind of surprised they didn't retire her, but I am delighted as she is my favorite doll. I will not be keeping this doll, but it was great to see a pie-banged version.
