Grade: A+AGOT #13's hair is a lighter brown than Samantha's, so I think it's the same color as Molly's. Her eyes are, I'm assuming, the same as Samantha's, though. If I recall correctly, her hair arrived in a ponytail, if that means anything to anyone. Anyway, she doesn't look exactly like me (my hair is darker and my eyes are hazel), but hey, she's cute. If you wanna buy her, go for it.

Oh, her hair is the same length as the rest of the JLY dolls. It's just that mine has very dry hair on that side of her head. I've been meaning to try out that braid spray...
So yes, her hair is long enough.

She was sold to me as a Samantha, but I soon found out that she wasn't. She doesn't have the Samantha eyes. But she is my very first AG doll and I love her to pieces. Her name is Jane. Jane's hair is a little lgihter, and she has the pinwheel eyes and not the eyes like Samantha. Samantha's eyes look a lot like real human eyes. The iris on the other dolls have the "pinwheel" background under the eye color. If you look at your Samantha and then look at Addy's, they will be different.
Someone told me this when I first joined here (I wish I could remeber who). I was told that only Samantha and now Ivy are the only two with these special brown eyes.
Although there are some other dolls that have them in different colors, like Felicity's green eyes, and also I think Mia too. Their eyes have the life-like irises only in another color.
Another difference between Jane & Samantha is that Sam's hair has the famous curls, and Jane's hair is straight, but the very ends curl under.

She is adorable. I love this gal. She never actually told me her name, though, even after all these years. First, she was Rebekah. Then Evelyn. Then Lynette. I LOVE her, but I'm still trying to discover her story. Right now, I call her Cécilee-Rebekah. (SESS-ih-lee) Her hair is easy to style, very thick and smooth. Not silky like my Josefina's, which is a disaster to style IMO (I just can't get a hold of it) She's very beautiful. I don't regret buying her one bit. She was my first doll, I got her long ago sometime, and I love her to pieces. Grade: A++++++I apologize for pathetic pictures! I had to use my camcorder! I'll get better pics on here soon. The little cutie! Her hair is rather easy to brush. It does shed frequently if brushed often, because the brush pulls it out no matter how soft you brush it. That is sometimes a problem, but it isn't a huge deal. Also, her hair has a lot of styling potential. Put it up in a pony, pigtails, braid, two braids, buns, nearly any style, and you can do it. I just greatly dislike those unflattering pie bangs I won't say 'hate', hehe, they have kind of grown on me after all these years. But I do greatly dislike them in a way. I'd prefer the lighter revised bangs. Any who, I could never sell her, no matter what. I have had thoughts on re-wigging, but I can let myself do it...she is so sweet. A really old pic of her.JLY #13 makes an excellent first doll. Her hair is easy to manage and I can see it withstanding a lot of years of play. Just a little brushing will keep it nice and silky, I haven't had to do any major treatment on it. I did shampoo and condition her hair once, but only once, and it's been fine.

I bought this doll off of ebay and I'm assuming she's the retired one as her legs are very floppy and she is wearing the red vinyl jumper. This doll's hair is very easy to style and comb. Her brown eyes are warm and inviting and a compliment to her brown hair. Her hair is a nice medium shade of brown- not too light but not too dark either. Here is a picture of my #13 Eva Katharine:

I got Destiny (I'm not sure why I named her that...) from eBay because I thought I was getting a pre-mattel#5. She also wasn't selling well because she has silver eye and I could just ship her away to the hospital. When I opened up her box and looked her over, I was like, "The silver eye isn't so bad..." I dressed her in pink and it was like she was made with it. I love her silver eye and just say she has hetrocromia.

I absolutely ADORE this doll! She was the second doll that I got (after Kit) and I received her April 2005. After a few years, I lost interest in my dolls, and they were packed away in a box (I will admit, they weren't well taken care of...it makes me shudder to think about). After being in the box for a few years and going through many moves, my #13 Dakota was still in great shape! Her hair was very messy so I straightened it, and now it looks perfect! Her hair doesn't frizz at all in my experience, and the bangs stayed great as well.
The only problem I've had with her is that she has sort of a "lazy eye" in that her right eye tends to shift a bit to the side when I move her around a lot. But it can eerily be moved back into place. However, this is a defect on my Dakota, not on the doll's design. Also, this is not a result of having her in the box for so long, she had the lazy eye since the day I purchased her from the AG store in New York.
Here's a small album of pictures of my Dakota:

My friend Maddie owns her and though to her she is Georgia I can't wait to get her myself so she can be Darrel Rivers from Malory towers. She is really very pretty and she also could be a couldbe a good replacement if you missed Samantha.

I got my "Samantha" off ebay, but I am thinking she might be a #13. She is an old gal with brown lashes and pleasant company and an artist mark kind of under the hairline but her hair is not as dark as Samantha's. Her head has a 42 on the neck. Has anyone seen that before?

I was surprised by how few reviews there are of this precious doll considering that she's one of the original twenty GOTs. I think she deserves some love! I found a 1996 version of #13 for a ridiculously low price on Ebay as she was being sold by a thrift store. When she arrived I knew she was something special--she has all the earmarks of an original 1995 GOT, despite the second edition outfit. Apparently she had mostly just been stored--she was pretty dusty, her limbs were floppy, and her hair was quite dry. She also has a chewed thumb and finger and a few stains on the ends of her fingers. I had fun restringing her, cleaning her vinyl and cloth body, carefully washing her face, and washing and conditioning her hair. When I put her all back together I just fell in love. I can't believe she's (at least) twenty two years old! She looks brand new. I named her Kate, because she looks so much like Kate Maberly, the actress who played Mary in the 1993 version of The Secret Garden. Kate is simply beautiful. She has soft, peachy vinyl and rosy coloring. Her eyelashes are long, soft and brown. She has that adorably chubby Pre-Mattel body and limbs. And her hair is stunning--so thick and shiny, with that amazing little flip at the ends. She does not have short hairs to cover her wig cap, however. Kate looks as great in modern outfits as in historical ones and she's lovely in many colors. This is truly a versatile doll. Grade? A+ for a versatile, sweet, charming doll. :) But what you really want is pictures, right?
I have more pictures, but Flikr isn't working properly so I'll add them when I can.
