I was skeptical about getting this house, since I've heard the reviews about the other house not sitting up very straight. We saw this house at AGB&B Atlanta and it was sitting perfectly! So we bought it. It is fabric and stuffed...kind of like quilted. The poles are in two pieces at each corner, but you can line them up relatively straight to make the house stand up. The reason for the split poles is so you can smash it down for storage, if you want. The house has a handle on the top so you can carry it around with Coconut inside. It does hold up pretty well to the weight of Coconut inside it. The floor and roof have thin cardboard inside of them. The plastic bone shaped mat and two food bowls are very well made. The bowls are hard plastic and the mat is vinyl. Grade A - pretty durable and fun to have. Coconut's new dog house

I purchased this for a friend's daughter but I'm afraid I was not impressed with the house. It easily caves in. C-
