Okay, I did buy these, but I'm not really impressed by them.
You get Kanani's dog Barksee (a stuffed dog, not a hard Coconut-type), a print bag, a book on Hawaiian Sea Animals, 2 photos/postcards, a tourist pamphlet on Hawaii, and a plastic camera.
It's all cute, but simple and there are no hidden features. The cameral is plastic, the paper is paper, and the bag is a bag. Barksee is really the best part of the set.
Oh, and the bag is large enough to hold the newspaper that comes with the Monk Seal.

A $28 I think her accessories are very cute, I love Barksee, the bag, and the camera. Kanani loves Barksee! She brings her bag everywhere.

I purchased this set last night and even though I love everything in it - it is not worth $28 - $24 maybe.

This set is very cute-- however not worth 28 dollars. The bag is cute and has an aqua/magenta design on it. It goes on her shoulder without falling off.
Her dog is adorable! He is very fuzzy and soft. Like someone said before, he does not have a hard body like Coconut. More like a stuffed animal.
The camera is cool, but pretty much just plastic.
This set also comes with a brochure about Hawai'i, a book about sea creatures, and some pictures. They are all cute and to-scale. Grade: A
Pictures coming soon!

Over priced, much? Barksee is adorable, however, that doesn't quite make up for the fact that I paid $28 for a stuffed animal, a cheap bag, and some paper and plastic bits! I do like that the bag is big enough to hold a lot of stuff though. It's definitely more like a tote than a purse, so AG got that one right.

The best part of this set is, hands down, the dog and the tote. The rest is just cheap paper and plastic bits. Definitely not worth $28, but maybe $18 for the dog and tote alone. The camera is kind of cute, but I wasn't really in dire need of another one, as I already have two AG cameras. Grade: B-

I purchased this set especially for the camera, since I am trying to get a camera for each of our dolls. Barksee is very cute, and the tote is nice. Pretty colors, and very useful. The camera however, was REALLY disappointing. It is very small, and just a tiny piece of plastic. To compare, I put it beside Kailey's awesome underwater camera, and Kit's delicate, but nice camera. Even Jess's butterfuly camera looks large and luxurious compared to the one in Kanani's accessory set! So because of camera, grade B-.

I got this set mostly for the dog and camera. I have to agree with everyone... this is a ridiculously overpriced set. Everything is darling (Barksee especially), but there's not much here. I was surprised at how small he was and (like incagold) really surprised by the size of the camera. I have a real mini camera from the 60s or 70s that seems to be just the right size and scale for the dolls, so I was expecting this one to be similarly sized, but it's maybe a quarter the size of the old one. I like how the bag matches her meet dress and the papers are all cute, but still just paper. $20 would probably be more appropriate.B-/C+

I got Kanani's accessories because a girl needs her dog, and because most of my other GOTYs have theirs at bare minimum.
I agree that the set is overpriced and the best part of it is her dog, Barksee. He's very cute even if I had to push his little doggy face around a bit because he came out of the box a bit squished. I noticed his ears were sewn to the sides of his head and snipped the threads so they could flap free. He now looks like a very cheerful little dog and I love his cute little 'shaped' paws!
The bag is made out of a nice cotton (canvas?) fabric that has a decent enough weight and it is shaped with two seams at either side (where AG could, especially given the sandals-with-elastic, have just sewn two pieces of fabric with no ends). It is plenty big enough for Kanani's camera, postcards, Sea Life book and brochure.
At first I was really disappointed with the camera. It's just a lump of (very tiny) moulded plastic, basically and I thought it looked way too small, too.
Then I put it in Kanani's hand and realized that the scale isn't that off really: it's similarly sized in the hand to the way mine is when I carry it. Perhaps it needs to be slightly bigger since Kanani is a child, but I have pretty small hands...
Imho it looks more like a tiny 'real' camera than Jess' butterfly one. The one thing I do think it's missing is the little loop and strap thing, and it would have been nice if the accents/buttons could have been black or silver instead of grey plastic.
Compared to the camera, the postcards seem around the right scale but the booklet and brochure are a bit small.
Overall I'd give the set a B (for Barksee, the Best Bit in it!).
