*The Lu'au Set contained a pair of anklets when originally released on January 1, 2011. Upon notification by purchasers that the anklets were staining dolls, AG revised the set and it was sold without the anklets by January 26, 2011.*A+ $30 This is my favorite! I had to get it when I saw it at the AG Place.  The purple shirt doesn't have velcro but it was easy to put on. The skirt was also easy to put on. It also includes pair of pretend ‘uli‘uli gourds, head wreath, anklets, and a lei. The whole set is very adorable

I'm not going to add any pictures since there are tons of good ones above. I'm just going to add my comments regarding the set.
The top is cotton, purple, and ties in the back. It is pretty easy to put on Kanani.
The skirt is bright pink and purple and also goes on pretty easily.
The 'uli'uli gourds are plastic and they have flexible plastic handles on them so Kanani can hold them. They seem pretty realistic.
The lei seems somewhat short on my set. It isn't as long as it is in the pics AG has. It likes to sit on Kanani like a choker.
The headress doesn't stay on very well. It is cute though.
The anklets are pretty tight, they are stretched in the set I got.
I have also read on AG's site in their reviews section that they can stain the doll if left on for too long.
Personally, I like Kanani's paddleboard set and swimsuit more.

What annoys me is that AG just removed the anklets and lowered the price without any explanation. I think they should post a note on the outfit page that simply explains the staining problem, apology, and state if they are going to keep this revised version sans the anklets or if they are going to release new anklets in the future and up the price again. The sudden disappearance with no explanation is, like I said, annoying, and I feel disrespects their customers.

The Lu'au set is my favorite outfit for Kanani. Just one look and you feel like you are on the beach in Hawaii at sunset. I have the first version with the anklets. If I had one complaint it would be the lei being too short. I made a stop motion video of Kanani doing the Hula. It was a lot of work but also a lot of fun. At AGPNY they do not offer the set with the anklettes. All the dolls on display do not have them on. You can see pink spots on the dolls where they were though.
