This item was introduced in January 2011 and retired in 2015.
When it’s time for a summer celebration, Rebecca chooses this fancy outfit: • A drop-waist dress with eyelet lace accents, satin bows, and pintuck details at the sleeves • A pretty pink hairbow that's perfect for sweeping back her wavy hair • A pair of faux-patent Mary Jane shoes with bows at the toes
Rebecca's Lace Dress Dress is made from white cotton. It's a little thin, which means a little see through, so she'll definitely be wearing white undies. However, it's not any more see through than Felicity's summer dress. Love the lace inlay and pink bows. It's very well made.
Overall I would give the dress an A and the shoes a C.

Rebecca's dress on a PM Samantha. Originally I bought this dress for Nellie, as I figured that there was no way it would fit Sam, since she's easily my biggest doll. I tried it on Nellie and she was swimming in fabric. Part of that was probably trying to get the dress to lay correctly (the lace can be a bit tricky if you're not properly caffeinated) and part of it was simply my dress was awfully large. Which would be bad if I had a Rebecca doll, but for Samantha it worked out perfectly. The shoes fit, which I truly did not expect since Sam also has fairly large feet and Mattel shoes almost never fit. The heels don't hamper her ability to stand on carpeted surfaces, but I haven't tried to stand her on my desk. Please excuse the less than stellar bow. I either tie them very well or it's embarrassingly bad. There is rarely an in between. Poor dolls. Close-up of the lace and sleeve. I think the dress looks gorgeous on Sam, but I am a little disappointed that unless I was completely out of my mind the day I tried it on Nellie, that it probably won't fit my smaller dolls. Also, I think the shoes look a little... odd in person. Dress: A- (it's gorgeous, but the sizing throws me for a loop.) Shoes: B

I picked this up for Rebecca last week. The heeled shoes definitely concerned me. I don't like the idea of a little girl in heels, though I admit that I enjoyed the historical accuracy. Heeled shoes much like Rebecca's started to become quite popular & fashionable in the 1910s, due in part to the popularity of the tango.
The dress is indeed a little bit see-through. If the dress were lined, or if AG produced historically accurate undergarments (like an undershirt) for Rebecca, this would be less of an issue. But my bigger concern is that all the white eyelet lace & pink satin bows cause the dress to have a "First Communion" kind of look, which is so incredibly inappropriate for Rebecca's Jewish background. Rebecca looks beautiful in the dress--the white & pink are gorgeous with her coloring. But I am a bit sick of all of her dresses featuring drop-waists, & I really wish someone in AG development would have thought about the First Communion issue.

I just recieved this dress. I tink that it is beautiful on Rebecca, but it is quite large in the bodice area. I know that it is supposed to be blousy, but it was also a little wide at the shoulders. The ribbon is just a ribbon, not a clip on bow, and I had little bit of a hard time trying to decide how to get the ribbon to look right. Dress- A- because of fit, and wish the ribbon was a clip

I bought this outfit for Nellie and it's so adorable on her: The fit is perfect and I'm crazy about the style. I'm particular about lace but quite like the lace on this dress. It does not seem excessively thin to me, though I certainly wouldn't have minded if it was lined! I could do without the little pink bows on the hips, but they're okay. The shoes are fine, not my favorite, but fine. The hair bow is kind of short and VERY wide, it looks huge on Nellie's head but is pretty cute! Seems like little girls back then wore giant hair bows anyway. The ribbon is thick, silky on both sides, and very nice. I do wish the outfit came with tights because Nellie looks pretty bear legged. Overall, this is one of my favorite historical outfits and I give it an A- (because it needs tights!).

I bought this for my Samantha as a more stylish alternative to her Pink Striped Birthday Pinafore dress. Along with Molly's Polka-Dot Outfit, it's the prettiest of last year's spring historical dresses. I was delighted at how well it fit my PM Samantha. The shoes fit perfectly too, even with Sam wearing tights (though I haven't tried standing her in them yet).
The ribbon is my only complaint. I wish it was longer. I had such a hard time getting it into a bow, I finally gave up and used a longer pink ribbon I had for the Talent Show Dress. Highly recommended for Nellie, Samantha, Rebecca, and other early 20th century girls.

This dress is so pretty in person. I don't think a photo can do it justice!
The shoes are cute too but the heels do make posing more difficult. Rebecca can stand in the if she is positioned just right.
The bow, well, it is just a pink satin bow. It would be nice if it were longer like the one with the Hanukkah dress.
My one complaint is that it does not come with tights. I'm pretty sure it was customary for girls and women of the period to always cover their legs. Rebebcca in particular would have been encouraged to wear stockings.
overall: Dress A Bow B Shoes B+

The dress is beautiful! I purchased it with an AG giftcard the day it came out! The lace, pink and white, just SCREAMS girly! {I think totally Becca's style!}. The dress is white with big pieces of lace, it is a tad bit see thru, but not really. Depends on what angle you look at it. It is very thin, but a classy thin. LOL The ribbon is ribbon! Just plain old pink! The shoes are pretty! BUT they make it hard to stand! Same with hibernian, I think that all of the outfits need to come with tights, are at least high socks, etc. VERY CUTE though! And well worth it!

I love the authenticity of this lingerie dress from 1914 but it has a few problems. It's very loose in the shoulders and has a very wide neckline. Rebecca (or in my case Ruth) needs a strapless slip to wear underneath to hold the dress up and make it look better. I wish the ribbons are any color but pink. I tacked some blue ribbons on over the pink ones because the pink ribbons were too hard to get off. The shoes are very sweet. I love the heels. The shoes just barely fit and don't fit bigger PM feet. Again I wish the ribbons snapped on like Felicity's Christmas shoes. Like others have said, it also needs some stockings to go with the shoes. I give it a B+

I LOVE this dress, when I put it on Rebecca I fell in love with her all over again. It is difficult to get it situated right but worth the effort! I give the outfit an A.
