I liked the way this outfit looked in pics.
Sadly, the pic often looks better than the actual outfit.
The shade of the sweater, which was what I worried about the most, is fine. But the texture kills it- way too fuzzy and at the same time the knit is too stiff. The wrap is fine and the side ribbon is actually cute.
Skirt is all right in its design and fabrics. Good length.
Surprisingly, the best part of this outfit would be the shoes. Very pretty Mary Jane design. They would work well with various other outfits. I used stockings other than the tights. The outfit I bought did not come with the hair clips- so I just put the barrettes from Emily's recital outfit on Elise.
The outfit overall merits a B, but the Mary Janes would be A+.

This outfit is lovely. The colors are wintry without being too bold or relevant to any particular religious celebration. The jacket is soft. As scandia mentioned, it is fuzzy and seems as though it would easily pill. However, unless your doll is rubbing itself heartily against the sofa, that shouldn't be a problem. There is delicate beadwork along the collar/wrap section of the sweater and on the cuffs. The delicacy of the beadwork is really what makes the outfit. I have not had any problems with the beadwork durability, but I would not be surprised if it did not stand up to rough play. The sweater closes with a standard thin, light blue ribbon. I tie mine in a square knot before tying it in a bow, otherwise, the ribbon is too slippery to hold the jacket shut without loosening. The skirt is two layers, a gauzy silver layer over an ivory satin underskirt. As you can see from the photo, the silver layer is about an inch longer than the underskirt. This may or may not bother you. The tights are standard issue AG tights. This means- watch out for snags if you bite your fingernails! The shoes are standard Mary Janes. Nothing to write home about. Unlike scandia, I do not find them useful with other outfits. However, my dolls rarely dress up. They are rather plain; they lack any embellishment. The outfit comes with six (maybe it's four?) small jaw clips. Do forgive my lack of knowledge of hair thingy terminology. They're clear plastic with white glitter. I've never really liked that style of hair thing. In fact, I haven't even used mine, so if you're lusting after them, drop me a PM. So, overall? B+ No issues with an outfit, that gives it a solid B. The delicate beadwork bumps it up to a +.

I just got this off ebay finally!! I don't care for the tights-the pattern anyway, so I am going to replace them and just use regular white tights. The skirt also has the potential to snag easy.

I have this outfit and actually asked for it because I liked how it looked on #14 in the catalouge. The tights, like most AG ones, are kind of thin and snag easily. I like the baedwork and wrap design of the sweater. I also like the skirt, but the silver layer is easily ripped. I agree that the shoes are the best part of the outfit. The only problems I've had is that the sweater pills a little and I had to reattatch the ribbon on mine.

I have to make some additions to this thread.
I somehow found a way to make the top fit better. Whether I found the inner hook this time or what, I do not know. But now it looks quite nice. I purposely put the outfit on Elise instead of Inga for the Winter pics because the top's style shows that Lise is the older of the two.
The hair clips look gorgeous and add a very nice touch. They shine just like the skirt and shoes.
This outfit looks really good with a pearl necklace and the diamond style stick-on errings. And the silver purse from the Starry Night Accessories goes well with it too. Very good details if your doll's character is on the older side.
With the hair clips and the top cinched as it should be, I am willing to boost this outfit's grade to an A-. Would have been a solid A if it came with better stockings (although I use a different set) and if the jacket's texture were not so stiff or fuzzy.

My older DD got this outfit a few years ago for her Felicity doll, and she never cared for it at all. I didn't think too much of it either. I guess it just REALLY doesn't suit Felicity, and I don't think she ever even bothered to put it on Kailey, who it would probably look cuter on. This year she passed it on to her little sister for Christmas, and as soon as my youngest DD saw the silver skirt and shoes, she wanted it on her new Molly doll. I don't usually care for Today clothes on the historical dolls, but I think this outfit is super cute on Molly. I really like the fuzzy sweater. The skirt is a nice length, and both pieces fit well on Molly's PM body. The tights we have don't seem to have a pattern, but it's possible that they were switched with the tights from another outfit (although I don't recall any of her other outfits coming with white tights). The shoes are adorable, and they too fit well on PM Molly's feet. I don't think they are the best part of the outfit, but I could see them mixing well with other holiday outfits. Sadly, we no longer have the hairclips, and I only vaguely remember what they looked like, so I won't comment on those. I would give the outfit a B. It's definitely cute, and I don't think there is anything wrong with it. It doesn't exactly knock my socks off though. My daughter would probably give it an A+ though!

This is another feminine outfit with nice detailing that is a great addition to a collection if you are looking for a quality fancy outfit. It is versatile enough that it can be worn seasonally beyond the holidays. I do agree that this is not an outfit for a young child to play with: the wrapping of the sweater takes some dexterity; the detailing is gorgeous but delicate; and the tights are snag-worthy even for an adult. It came with 4 jaw-clips for dolly 'dos, which are quite tiny as those things often are and thus easily lost. I really love the flouncy, shiny skirt and have not had any problems with tears. The sweater is boxy but soft enough when tied to look nice on both PM and Mattel dolls. I've not had problems with pilling but the beading on the sleeve edge has gotten loose over time. I like the extra touch of the sheen to what AG marketed as "dancing shoes", which elevates them a step above plain MaryJanes. I give the outfit an A as an adult collector; because of the delicacy for a child's toy, it would get a B rating. It still can be found available regularly enough on the secondary market for original retail or slightly above, depending upon condition. I think AG tried to emulate and update this look when it offered the Frosty Party Outfit in 2011!

The sweater - the sweater is a soft fleecy little number, very thick and with a fuzzy texture. It tends to pill slightly. Inside the sweater closes with a hook and eye closure which you'll have to look for as it's quite small, and then ties on the outside with a real ribbon. I love the beaded edging! When I saw this in the catalog I thought it was that silver wrapped thread used on some things. This may be delicate if you really yank on it but I haven't had any problems. The sweater looks most beautiful on blue-eyed dolls! A
The skirt - why did you not use SNAPS, AG? *mourns* The silver overskirt snags really easily on the velcro closure behind, even though it's the newer, thinner velcro. The back of my skirt is really really picked up. At least it still looks nice from the front. The skirt is made from a thicker, shiny white material overlaid with the thin, sparkly silver material. I got my set in 2002, and I think the skirt is a bit different than earlier versions: it is shorter and doesn't fold as much, and the overlay doesn't hang down as far as other sets I've seen. Weird. The skirt is really pretty, so if you can keep it away from velcro like the plague, A-.
The tights - these are super thin and snag way too easily, but I was able to substitute Nellie's Christmas tights which work perfectly. The thin-ness is actually good, they impart a kind of sheen you wouldn't have with thicker tights. Again, very fragile, but they make the outfit look nice.
The shoes - love these! They are sturdy, really snap, and have the most beautiful color ever. I think they really make the outfit, I only wish they could be used with more outfits! A++
The hair clips - these are also quite breakable! They are made from clear plastic that appears to have been dipped in glue and rolled in glitter. From catalog pics, I thought they would be transparent plastic with glitter inside - were they ever like that?. B-

I just received this for my Lindsey doll. I think it will be perfect for her. I don't recommend this outfit for a child, only an adult collector. It's very delicate. I like the simplicity of this outfit and I think all of the pieces are nice, with my favorites being the silver Mary Janes and shimmery silver skirt.

I simply love this outfit because of it's many versatile pieces. The shoes are some of the best ever made by AG. The colour combination of blue and silver is lovely. A+

Just the top, the only part I've ever had. I think it was a little big (wide) on my Mattel dolls.

A friend has this. I think it is lovely and the beading on the top is gorgeous. The skirt is pretty. The flats snap like Samantha's mjs and are a beautiful color. This outfit seems perfect for a New Year's Eve party or something in January.
