Scarlett's hair remains mostly wavy, IMO. This is what it does after a spritz and finger curls:

I got mine the 5th of April. She s the most beautiful thing. She has deep brown hair, chocolatey almost and dark hazel eyes which are more green than brown. She has the feathered eyebrows which I adore and cute freckles. Her lips are a rosy but realistic colour which I admit to preferring over the usual colour everyone else has. Her hair has a light curl to it which is easy to maintain virtually frizz-free. If I'm not mistaken, her cloth body is made of different stuff. Almost feels like a soft canvas or something and is slightly darker than my other dolls' bodies. I've named mine Juliette and she follows me a fair bit round the house. She looks good in most things an would make a beautiful display doll. Or a play doll but I think the hair is something that is easy to deal with but only once you know how. This isn't a doll for under 9s I'd say. Above that, I'd recommend it to everyone. I was on the fence about her nearly since she came out, but I have no regrets. She is, I think, my most special doll!

I got my #55 at AGPNY back in April. I was contemplating getting her because she has the classic mold, and so many of my dolls already have the classic mold. However, she was the perfect doll for a character I created, so I seized my opportunity in New York and got her! Without further ado, I give you Lilly Ethel Hyde! I suppose actually reviewing her would be nice too, so... Doll: My doll has no apparent malfunctions or mutations. She can stand on her own, and she had/has no suspicious markings. A+ for this dolly-o. Hair: #55 (Lilly's) hair is gorgeous! It's a beautiful shade of brown, and in some light she looks like she has a bit of red splashed in there. Her wig is long and thick, and not at all dry. I've brushed most of the curl out, because I wasn't really trying to save it, however it still has some wave and bounce to it. I'm sure if I put curlers in the curl would come right back, though. The only odd thing I found was that the front sections of her hair were considerably longer than the rest of her hair. I only noticed this when I put her hair over her shoulders, thought. The rest of the time it looks fine. All of this considered, I give her hair an A-. Face: Well, um, this is where I'm going to talk about her face. Her coloring is magnificent, and very real looking. Her lips and cheeks are pinker than some of my other dolls, and I like it. Lilly's eyes are more green than hazel, but the green is a blue-ish green. Definitely not aqua, but compared to my friend's #38, her eyes aren't the same hazel. I'm a sucker for freckles, so I think that's also part of the reason I love this doll. I'm gonna give her face an A+, because I like her coloring, eye color, and freckles. I think she looks great in all colors, but particularly good in blues and greens (it brings out her eyes) and pinks and reds (they, erm, make her look nice ) Here's a comparison shot of her and Nicki. One of the reasons I was hesitant to get her was because I thought she might look a little too much like Nicki. Side by side, I think they do look a little similar, but not at all as much as I thought they might. If you are thinking about getting this girl, I wouldn't hesitate! She is a stunner!

We got my daughter #55 at the DC store yesterday. We love her looks for reasons others have already stated. However there may be some quality control issues in their factories, because the Marie-Grace we also bought yesterday was defective and must also be returned. For #55 the wig was surprisingly thin, there were numerous stitching threads sticking out in various places, some that I did not dare try to snip. And the seam where the hair is stitched into the wig base was very prominently protruding like a knot at the left doll's temple, making it unsightly to pull her hair back into certain styles. So, both dolls will have to be returned, unfortunately, (Marie-Grace was shedding like my cat).
I'm hoping the next #55 will be free of noticeable defects, as she is quite lovely, otherwise.
editing to add that as far as hair color goes, I'm stunned by the realism. I took the doll outdoors since we can't get back to VA yet to return it. I looked at the doll's hair to compare it to my daughter's hair. The color match between the doll hair and my child's hair was shockingly close. My daughter has just a hint more of a red tinge in her hair. But you can hardly tell the difference. It's incredible how many different shades of brown are incorporated into the wig to make a natural blend of highlights and low lights.

I bought my Fern in june, when i want to the NYC store! HAIR: sooo gorgeous!i love putting it in 2 five-strand-braids.. i wasn't very careful with her hair- she was my 1st doll along with McKenna, but put it in rollers and the curl come straight back! its a bit dry at the ends, but i love her so much its not really a problem. EYES: Awwwwwhhhh!! her best feature! they are green with brown liney spekkey bits.. dunno how to describe it! Greener with more light, darkey with less- just like mine! I couldnt ask for any better! FRECILS: Fern wouldnt be right without frecils! she is my me-doll, so she HAD to have frecils, one little complaint- they're symetrical.. eh.. i know for a fact that NO ONE has symetrical frecils! anyway, wouldnt ever let me swap her for another doll! Quality- as usual, AG have stunned me with remarcible quality! her wig cap isnt great, but the beauty and quality make up for it! mine has lovely rosey lips and cheeks, making her really sweet
