Emily Doll

The Emily doll quickly became one of my favourites. Mine isn't an Emily anymore, but still can review. She has wonderful hair in length and style, though to me it already feels a bit dried out, and I've only had her about 6 months. (ETA: As I posted photos I thought about it- this is probably my fault for exposing her to salty air at the beach.)

She looks good in everything. Really no complaints here!

I certainly don't regret getting her, and wouldn't hesitate to do so again! A+!





She's Felicity's sister at our house. They look related, but not too similar to keep them both! If you notice, Lissie's hair is darker and their faces aren't so alike.





She looks really great hanging out with Rebecca, in my mind. Even better than being paired with Molly. My Emily is now Madalina, and is also Jewish:

I was honestly surprised at how much I ended up loving my Emily doll, at first I didn't think I would like her but i ended up falling in love with her. The only draw back was that when I received her, her hair was already falling out of its hairnet! That was a big problem for me because I collect them in their boxes. None the less, I managed to wrangle her hair back in and have found myself admiring the contrast between her skin hair and eyes, it's just startling the contrast I mean. She really is a beautiful doll and a great doll for young children because of her short hair!

Emily is one of my top 4 favorite dolls. She was the first doll I ever purchased/picked out on my own at an AG store, and she will always hold a special place in my heart. Here are 2 few pix I have on Photobucket that I can share with you...I'm actually surprised I don't have more!!

Emily looks good in just about anything, and I love her hair! I got mine off eBay, so she's second-hand, but she's one of my favorite dolls. My Emily is actually Ginny from the Harry Potter series, because when I got her, it amazed me just how much she looks like Bonnie Wright, the girl that plays her in the movies.

I just got Emily, this past week, and I'm just so amazed how pretty she is. Her hair and eye color are just such a gorgeous combination.

I didn't expect to like Emily because I have not been a fan of red hair...BUT...She's wonderful! Her hair is copper colored and I love it A LOT! It has highlights of lighter red...very cool. Her blue eyes are perfect. I have really been smitten by her. I was surprised to see how great she looks in many of Kit and Mollys clothes. Especially their school dresses. She always stands close by me in my doll room so I can see her every day while I sew or whatever. I give her an A+ because of her beauty and also because her meet outfit is super quality and her accessories are so nice. I would recommend her to everyone also because her hair is easy to deal with but long enough to style. GREAT DOLL!

Emily is a beautiful doll, A for her. She looks great in just about everything. Her hair comes about as long as #23's, but I cut hers into a Kit bob to match the book's illustrations. Her outfits are very nice too!

Emily is so beutiful! She is my first doll, and I was stuck between her, Marie Grace and Kit, and I regret nothing. Her meet outfit is beutiful, her face is beutiful and her hairis beutiful, I can do so much with it! I also like the way her hair is a more honey brown, as she can wear red, and still look beutiful. My only complaint is her underwear, she can only wear it woth this outfit, I'd have prefered something tht isn't bloomers, but I guess that's what they wore back then. Also her book is cute, but in England we call oatmeal porridge.

My grandparents just got me Emily a few weeks ago. I have to say that I wasn't really big on the Emily character after watching Molly's movie (she kind of annoyed me), but I wanted to get the doll because of Molly's collection being possibly headed for retirement. Anyway, I LOVE the doll. I mean, like, I have been fussing over and making a bigger deal of her than any of my other AG dolls since I got her. Her red hair is SOOOO beautiful and looks great with her red and blue dress. Her shoes are actually slightly better than Molly's. A++

Emily is utterly beutiful. Her hair is nice to style (but not as nice as Julie's, but better then Claire's (modern Marie Grace). Her best colour is purple, I wish I knew how to upload photos!

and then my fingers were too cold to continue. I do have some other things here of Sam's--holiday dress, plum coat, meet dress... but these things seemed like the best bets for Emily-as-Nellie. I don't have Sam's play outfit or her bathing dress. I'm so glad Sailor Molly posted the middy dress as that was the one I was most sorry to not photograph for you.
