*Cécile wears her Special Dress in Cécile's Gift.* Lovely dress. The red is vivid but not overpowering and the black and white flower pattern is lovely. It is trimmed with faux velvet, and the green velvet on the dress is the same as the hair ribbons. A Cécile's necklace has longer and has larger pearls than Elizabeth's necklace does. It is a bit too long, and does not sit above the dress like it was meant to and hangs down. A- *MOD EDIT to remove member's dead image links*

I could not resist Cécile's Fancy Dress for my Addy. My Addy is also PM, so it is a bit snug, but still fits. Addy is wearing her own crinoline, so in case you were wondering it does fit under the dress. Attachments:

This outfit is referred to as Cécile's Recitation Dress in the Play Scenes & Paper Dolls set and is the dress AG chose for the 25th Anniversary Cécile holiday edition mini doll. The dress hits all the marks: lovely, good fit, period-appropriate, easy to get on, suits Cécile's personality with its combination of dramatic color and feminine finishes. I agree that the accompanying pearl necklace is too long and should hit at the neck seam, and have adjusted it accordingly in the first photo below. I wish that the skirt was more generously cut so the crinoline and a petticoat would fit comfortably beneath it, and so it was long enough to hit at mid-calf when wearing the appropriate undergarments. I've more or less given up on AG making skirts long enough, though because the company skimps on fabric most times. Photos: Grade A for a beautiful dress. It looks especially nice with Cécile's white gloves from her accessory set, even if book-Cécile can't be bothered to keep her gloves on!

Why not? I tossed C's red dress on my Kirsten and snapped a quick shot. Not the best but I hope this helps. Attachments:

Harriet wears this dress for winter with the long sleeved blouse from her Parlour Dress, her crinoline, and Meet necklace. She is also sporting a black and white striped silk petticoat, slightly visible under her dress. She doesn't have the green ribbons on because I don't want to untie her Meet ribbons until I am 100% on bow tying!

Here is Kirsten in Cécile's red dress. Her red boot actually match the dress pretty well, but the dress's color is pretty washed here.
