My favorite outfit. The colors are muted and it sets of her skintone well.

Blouse: Cute and simple, but a bit of a pain to get over her hands. They needed Velcro or elastic there. A-

Skirt: I think my Cécile might be a bit chubby because I had a time trying to get this on her! The elastic is only in the back. A- for effort

Jacket: Adorable. Slightly different material than the meet dress. East to get on and off. A+

I couldn't help but get this outfit for Addy. My Addy is PM so she does look a little chunkier than slender Cécile. The whole outfit does fit. Addy is wearing her own crinoline in the pic, so Addy's does work with the outfit. I think the purple looks amazing with Addy's coloring.

PS, I was wondering how the jacket goes on before I got it, the straps in the front have velcro on one side. I'm impressed with how it looks.

This is one of my all-time favorite AG outfits, mainly for its rich color scheme and details.

Regarding some previous comments about this outfit, I believe there's likely individual variation to the outfits since my skirt slips on easily. I do agree that the sleeves require a little tug over vinyl fingers, but I'm just as glad that AG didn't add velcro to the cuffs. The jacket doesn't actually button but the buttons hide the velcro closure. That to me is an acceptable cheat; I'd be afraid velcro'd blouse cuffs wouldn't have a button disguise. The blouse collar does have a tendency to flip up but that's no biggie. It's absolutely an exquisite outfit. The skirt and blouse are cotton or a blend but the print is so rich you could believe it is silk. The jacket is a synthetic to mimic silk taffeta from the period; it is very soft and doesn't feel cheap at all, unlike some other AG attempts at taffeta. Cécile is wearing her crinoline for these photos. This skirt is cut generously enough to allow the crinoline to provide the proper shape and to hit at mid-calf, but could use even more volume to accommodate the petticoat that should be worn over the crinoline:













I'd love if AG would make a bonnet to match. Céce is shown wearing a gorgeous purple bonnet in this illustration from Troubles for Cécile when she meets Marie-Grace at St Louis Cathedral, and it would be the perfect accessory:

This looks gorgeous on my Elizabeth, who has been trying out the 1850s since Felicity retired and took all the pretty dresses with her! I got it with free shipping and got it today. Honestly I'm not totally pleased. The skirt is beautiful and soft, as is the blouse- both cotton- but the jacket imho, isn't that nice. The fabric on mine is a kind of coarse synthetic material. It feels 'toothy' and the trim on it is incredibly rough and itchy. It makes me want to not hold her when it's on because it's an unpleasant synthetic pleated mess. It loos great when on, but imho, I don't like the jacket and it feels rough. I have considered returning it, but the color scheme is pretty, so maybe I'll keep it. Definitely not one of my favorite AG outfits though.
