When Marie-Grace is invited to a splendid costume ball, she is dismayed that she has nothing to wear! Mademoiselle Océane and Cécile come to the rescue with this fancy finery: A lovely pink-and-blue dress made for dancing, that features a ruched bodice, double-puffed sleeves, and a draped overskirt adorned with a rosette. Satin dancing slippers with rosettes at the toes to match. The Fancy Dress is referenced in both Meet Cécile and Meet Marie-Grace, but no illustration was included in the books. AG included an illustration of Marie-Grace wearing the dress in its video introduction for the characters.
As soon as we got home dd dressed Jess in her new gown ( which snags easy): i wanted to try and show the pink in the hoop it is the same pink as in the dress. The shoes have a tiny heel also.

Set includes:
Fancy Dress pink and blue sateen shoes- satin with a rosette and they have a little heel! Price $28
I did not like this set at all when I first saw it on the website but it's really not so bad in person. However I would not have purchased it if DD had not wanted it. The style is very lovely with overlapping skirts and double puff sleeves. However, the material is rather thin. I rate it a "B".

Like everyone has already said this outfit is better in person…

The dress definitely feels better than it looks (silky!), and definitely looks better in person than in the AG stock photos--not as shiny. The material is admittedly very thin, and I like another reviewer would not have purchased it but for a tiny person who wanted it very badly. Luckily I was able to pick it up on sale--I think $14 is a reasonable price, especially considering the lovely heeled shoes that come with the outfit. Definitely the best part of the lot

I got both of my dresses on sale for $14, but would have gladly paid full price for them- I'm one of the people who really loves this dress. I really like the color scheme and pattern chosen for it, and I feel like it looks better in person than it does in pictures. The little slippers are adorable, and seem to go on easily enough. I think my biggest complaint is how easily the material snags if you aren't careful with it. I give the dress an A-: I love everything about the dress except it's snagability, which if you're careful, can be avoided. Some pictures of Marie-Grace and Cécile in the dress:

Even though this outfit is silky and shimmery, it really looks sweet on the dolls. It makes them look like fairies. a rather unique dress choice.
