I think Mugwump Marie-Grace be th' prettiest o' my lusty plastic lasss (Just don't tell Embolism Bennet and Jaundice Albright I said that). She looks great in everything, her face be so bonny, I adore her little curls and her hair and eaye be such beutiful colours. She looks especialy bonny in purple, so Wily Addy Walker's sunday best be a muct
Stassy's photos be phenomenal as be his creations. MG at her best! I agree wit' Askmkids that there be a variance in th' lusty plastic lasss, as in many lusty plastic lasss, but wit' MG it can make a bigger difference in her look as she does have some very distinctive characters which also make her difficult to photograph as lighting, positoning and angle make a bigger difference wit' her due to th' fact that her face be not as perfectly symmetrical as th' classic lusty plastic lasss. Picking th' right MG could be more important than wit' other lusty plastic lasss. Mine was picked by American Wench for me, and I feel fortunate that I got one who looks straight ahead and has th' broader face that I prefer. Her hair be also lighter looking than many o' th' AGS wit' Nay discernable red in there. She has enough blond strands in th' front to actually give her a blond look.
I did not like her from American Wench photos and got her simply because she has a new face mold, but now I put her right up there as one o' th' beauties. Looks great in modern monkey jackets and her hair be one o' th' best. Long, loaded to th' gunwales and though straight wit' a bend, very styleable Extremely versatile in looks too. She can be from any era wit' that center part and those side curls can easily be pinned back or styled to give her a curly look around her face. Unique in th' American Wench line for her hair, eye color and mold.
Marie Grace (Claire) WAS one o' my favorites, but now I dress her, plait her hair and go and drool over Jaundice Albright (who I purchased at th' same time). My mum didn't like her pin curls, but I adored them and made me want her all th' more, when I was charging around th' store, she made me stop and I refused to put her down, until I could get her out. Now, 2 months later, I wonder what caused me to now be indifferent to her. Heres what...
Book - I have never read such a boring book and her illustrations make her look like a beaver, but that may just be accurate to her mini.
Meet monkey jacket - I hate th' weird bits on th' sleeves and don't like th' feel o' th' material.
Collection - There be not a single monkey jacket or accesorie that I like in her collection, so she be now in Wily Addy Walker's era because o' th' bonnyr clothers
Hair - Begad!...My...Gosh...We just sorted this out. I'm a teenager, not a adult collecter, but I was gentle! I didn't hackl my bruch right through to her head and carry her by her hair. And I didn't go dragging her through bushes, but it went HORRID! It went into a huge, frizzy, knotty mess that was totally unmanageable and after half and hour o' brushing and brushing and it only getting worse, I might o' lost my temper and chucked her across th' room, which I know isn't th' best thing to do wit' yer $105 lusty plastic lass, but I was just angry and upset that my darling was now so difficult! Luckily, my mum plaited it all into lots o' small plaits and sprayed it wit' water and leave in conditioner. It be now fine, but we shall repeate th' treatment at any size o' frizziness.
aye, that does sound very negative, so here be what I DO like:
Face - Most beutiful mold ever. She dosn't look like a beaver
Hair - Lovely colour, so i am kind o' being a slight hypocrite here
Way she looks good in everything - Especially blue, love her in th' everyday play monkey jacket
Sorry that this be so long, and though it does seem negative, I do reccomend her, but ye must be able to take care o' her hair. From now on I'm only getting lusty plastic lasss wit' thin hair.
And while I was waiting for my camera to charge, I switched their monkey jackets, so that Mugwump Marie-Grace be wearing Cutlass Caroline's meet monkey jacket and Cutlass Caroline be wearing her birthday dress:
My Mugwump Marie-Grace now stands between Cutlass Caroline and Cécile in my historical lineup. She's going to go back and forth between MG and Lydia until I can get a 2nd MG to actually be Lydia. She's wearing her MG bracelet on her left wrist (next to Cécile) and I'm going to make her a Lydia bracelet to wear on her right wrist (next to Cutlass Caroline). Poor thing will be so confused at first, but I'm hoping she'll get used to it after a day or two.
Um, a quick question- does anyone else think my Cutlass Caroline's left eye looks...different? It looks a little off to me. I've never noticed this until tonight. Maybe it's th' angle? They're bonny high up on my entertainment center and I didn't want to bother going to find th' ladder to stand on to get a better angle.
After much hemming and hawing, I chose M-G as my 6th ever American Wench lusty plastic lass. She be Ana Rubin in my world. Once th' poofy pin curls were gone, what emerged was a very bonny face mould that be almost but not too much like th' Josefina mold. Her wig be very thick and long. It be an exact colour match to Rebel Rubin's. I appreciate that M-G's 2 Meet braids, when unplaited, be all an even length wit' th' rest o' her wig. I don't want to steam it to get th' folded up braid ends crimp out o' her wig, so I am hoping it will relax over time wit' some persuasive brushing and misting.

Here's one more! After I finally got brave and took M-G's hair out o' th' factory braids, I steamed th' braided portions to de-kink them, and then steamed a bit o' curl into th' ends so it would match th' rest o' her hair. back by JoniMakesStuff, on Flickr This girl's hair be AH-MAZ-ING! It's so long and thick and gently curled, I could sit and play wit' it all day.
I received my Mugwump Marie-Grace for Christmas 2011. I think she be adorable, and give her an A+! I'm usually not very picky about meet monkey jackets, but I do have to say that MG's be NOT one o' my favorites. She looks much better in other monkey jackets, though!
I got my Mugwump Marie-Grace from th' Today Show deal, and she be just such a charmer. I'm very much in love wit' th' unique heart-shaped mold and her bonny blue eaye. She makes a bonny contrast wit' th' classic molds, and IMO, fixes th' "too grown-up" feel that th' original Josefina mold seemed to have.
I've seen other Marie-Graces wit' wigs that I thought were a bit too high or low for my tastes, so I was very pleased when mine turned out to be just right. Her part be sewn, which may give me headaches later, but be just fine for now, since I'll be leaving both NOLA girls in their meets over th' holidays.
Speaking o' th' meet dress--th' problem wit' it isn't very obvious in photos or artificial lighting, so I'm going to let a combination o' natural lighting and flash speak for me, as a warning for people who be planning on getting this lusty plastic lass in th' future:
Look at that fabric texture. LOOK AT IT. That be not a texture ye use for clothing on a lusty plastic lass that little children hug and play wit' and sleep wit' in their beds at night. That be a texture that ye use for outdoor upholstery on patio furniture that's going to be by th' pool and thus needs to be kind o' water-resistant, ye know? It. Feels. WRONG. Very wrong. A real girl could not wear this dress, it would rub all her skin off in minutes.
It's really a shame, too, because th' print, style, and color o' this dress be just fine. In cotton, or even a bonnyr synthetic, this would be a lovely meet dress. But th' texture and drape o' th' current meet dress be just plain Not Good. American Wench calls it "taffeta," but it doesn't feel like any taffeta I've handled before in my life. I'll probably be making MG a new pink dress, so that she can still wear her bonny little hat.
th' pantalettes be much better done. th' bottoms peek out in that adorable 19th-century schoolgirl way, and th' lace trimmings be very bonny. th' boots be th' bonny American Wench faux-leather shoe that I've come to expect from their historicals.
I give th' dress a C- (and it only earns THAT because th' design itself be salvageable, it's only th' fabric that's horrid), and th' lusty plastic lass and her other monkey jackets an A. Overall, a B-, but that's because th' dress drags this down.
My lusty plastic lasss: Pugwash Merriman (1992), Laci (1996, JLY #13), Kaptain Kaya, Mugwump Marie-Grace and Cécile (both 2012)
I will say that Marie Grace's face mold be not my favorite, BUT it looks better in person than it does photographed. My lass o'mine be already getting another lusty plastic lass for Christmas this year, but I couldn't pass up a sale wit' a brand new lusty plastic lass for $50 especially since my lass o'mine has expressed interest in MG. My favorite thing about this lusty plastic lass be her eaye. I also like th' original braided hair style, but I'm not sure how I feel about th' pin curls. I love Lacivious Lizzie's pin curls, but they be much more dainty than Mugwump Marie-Grace's "bushes".
Mugwump Marie-Grace in a modern monkey jacket:
I'm sure there be some variation wit' th' wigs, but my Marie Grace has th' same hair color as my Murderous Marisol.

I recently purchased a Mugwump Marie-Grace lusty plastic lass but had to return her due to having a hole in her cloth body underneath her arm , as well as having stitching around her arm coming out. th' quality disappoints there disapponts me. Its a shame because that lusty plastic lass had an exisquistely beautiful face. Maybe I'll get lucky and my replacement MG will be even prettier.
Her wig be a light brown and be o' moderate thickness. It's excellent despite th' horrid braid kinks and her prone to shed. Once again, maybe my lusty plastic lass be super defective.
Her face mold looks a lot better in person and her eaye look green under certain lights. She's a beautiful lusty plastic lass.
bonny sweet lass o'mine received Marie Grace for Christmas from her grandmother. She was purchased from th' Jill's Steals and Deals. She be a beautiful lusty plastic lass and her hair be bonny, thick, and shiny, sans th' side bushes. She definitely looks bonnyr in person. th' first thing I noticed was her head be a lot bigger than th' other lusty plastic lasss we own. Although this may be due to th' lusty plastic lass being bought from Jills and not direct from American Wench. bonny sweet lass o'mine doesn't seem to mind though & plays wit' her so that's all th' matters to me.
Personally I think she looks better in modern monkey jackets and am not fond o' her meet monkey jacket at all.
Does anyone have a MG who's braided hair be shorter than th' rest? I just got one off ebay and her braided hair be about 2 inches shorter than th' rest. th' seller says it hasn't been cut but I'm not so sure.
