This outfit, while not explicitly marketed as a Hanukkah outfit, does appear in the catalogue and in store displays with the Hanukkah accessories. It includes: - silver skirt
- blue sweater
- silver shoes
- headband
- "Kind" heart charm
The whole outfit is very sweet. The long sleeves and long skirt make it perfect for a girl with more modest tastes in clothing. The blue/silver combo continues the trend for a 2nd holiday outfit in these colors (Snowflake Ball Gown, Fancy Flower, Silver Belle). The headband, unfortunately, includes one of the new Very Long Tags. It looks ridiculous on a doll, so I snipped it off after taking the picture. You can see in the previous photo that the headband does not perfectly fit a doll's head- which results in a small gap between the top of the head and the headband. Frankly, it looks silly. I think the outfit would have been better served with a cloth headband with an embellishment as it would stretch to fit the doll's head appropriately. The sweater is a lovely ice blue. It's a bit snug on my #54 (released only a few months ago), who is one of the newer dolls. I wouldn't recommend it for an older, pudgier doll. The sweater is embellished with vertical lines of silver embroidery. Every other line also includes small silver sequins. The sweater opens all the way in the back for ease of dressing. The skirt is nice and full. It includes spirals of fabric that decorate the hem of the skirt. Pleasantly, the embellishments continue all the way around the skirt- something that AG hasn't been doing on many of its skirts/dresses. Finally, there are sweet silver ballet flats with a little silver flower. These fit well, though they do make the feet seem a bit long. Overall, it's a lovely outfit. The heftier price tag ($36) at least includes embellished shoes and the design going around the whole skirt. Grade: B

I was hesitant to buy this but I'm so glad I did. It's the perfect holiday outfit for Erin, my #35. The sweater is a VERY pretty color and is easier to use than pullovers. I like the skirt too. It looks like foil on the website, but is not ripable at all. The headband is pretty - after you cut the tag off. And the shoes are easy to use. Overall, a great outfit

I went ahead and ordered the Frosty Party outfit while it was on sale during the daily deals and decided I whould try mixing and matching the pieces. I think the sweater might look cute with jeans and the skirt with a black top. So here is what I came up with. ~mod edit to remove inaccessible images~ The top is from the Winter Magic Outfit released for the holiday of 2004. I just put the sweater on my 26- Jada, along with the jeans from the school days outfit of 2008. I am still debating on the shoes to go with it. Any sugestions would be great. I think the shoes that come with the outfit are to fancy for jeans.

Here is Julianna (my GT 19 with a new body) wearing the Frosty Party Outfit. It's the only modern outfit I've purchased from Mattel's AG. Not that I'm against buying them, this is just the first one that I really wanted so when it went on sale I snatched it up! I'm quite glad I did because it's so pretty. Sweater: Very pretty. The sequins seem to be sewn on tightly. I wish it was a little looser and a little longer, and the neck on mine stands up a little weirdly. Skirt: Love it! The fabric feels high quality and it's nice and full. The decoration around the bottom is so pretty and I like that it goes all the way around the skirt. It's actually a slip on skirt with a bit of elastic in the back. I fear it wouldn't fit over the butt of a non-Mattel doll because it's kind of tight, if anyone's really curious about it you can PM me and I'll try it on one. No complaints about the beautiful skirt. Shoes: Cute! A little hard to get on but they shouldn't fall off. Nice detail. Headband: Also cute! It stays on pretty well and doesn't look too goofy. The big tag is kind of annoying but no use complaining about that. All in all, I quite like this outfit. It looks so lovely on sweet Julianna and I would have killed for an outfit like this when I was a kid. If I could change anything I would make the changes to the sweater I mentioned before and also I kind of feel this outfit should have tights. I have plenty of tights already so that's not a hard fix, though the shoes may be difficult to get on over the tights. I will post an update when I try.

I had mixed feelings about this outfit. It has been compared to the holiday Ice Blue outfit from 2001 and I think it's definitely an updated version thereof. Some comparisons: Now, I absolutely love the Frosty Party skirt and I think the shoes are darling. Both are elegant and have simple, timeless, classic details. However, the sweater leaves a lot to be desired. The fabric is cheap and thin, and the sweater is not cut in a flattering or attractive way to complement the skirt. It simply does not look right combined, not even with the sequin and embroidery embellishments. Seeing how puglove paired it above with modern jeans illustrates to me exactly where AG went wrong with this outfit: it's a nice, pretty sweater but not formal enough to work with this skirt and shoes, better paired with jeans or nice pants as a less dressy holiday offering. The headband, at least, is a good accessory addition even if it is oddly sized. Back view: The outfit gets a C from me as an ensemble due to this lack of cohesiveness (and lack of tights!). Individually, skirt and shoes are A quality, headband is an A- because it sits oddly, and the sweater rings in at a B-.

Something about this outfit really caught my eye this holiday season, and I really wanted it. But, unless it went on sale- thank god it did- I wouldn't have bought it. I deemed the original price way to high for an outfit that includes nothing more than the basics. The coloring is well coordinated, I love how everything literally has that "frosty" feeling. Pictures seem to drown out the color of dolls when they are wearing it, but in real life it does not have that effect. While some have noted that the sweater doesn't have a good cut or fit, I beg to differ that on my PM #12, it fits great! I rather like the simplicity of it, makes for good matching with jeans, a common outfit I'd love my doll to wear more. I really appreciate that the skirt is stretchy. That is a big plus as there's no velcro to snag or bunch up the back. The shoes are cute and simple/modern, but I've noticed that one of the shoes that I have is shorter than the other. It's not that noticable, but then the toes of one foot are more pronounced when the shoe is on. The headband is adorable, and as it's in a neutral color, can match with so many things. And the ridiculously long tag? Well the scissors took care of that right out of the box. ~mod edit to remove dead image link~

I bought this outfit during cyber monday, and am very glad I did. It's the perfect holiday outfit for my Esther (Rebecca), and I will upload photos of her in it later. So a breakdown of the pieces of the outfit from head to toe:
Headband: Adorable. The ribbon is shiny and satiny, compliments the outfit perfectly but is still simple enough that it can be paired with other looks. I was worried about it not fitting, but it fits rather well. There isn't really a gap between her head and the head band, but I think that's because I have it at an angle since it's holding back Esther's curls. I hate the ridiculously long tag on the headband though, and have no idea what possessed them to do that. I will be cutting it off soon.
Sweater: It's a lovely icy baby blue. I love the material it's made out of, it's so cozy. I like the ribbing on the end of the sleeves. I have to agree with everyone else, it is snug especially the sleeves, I can't lift Esther's arms without it bunching a bit. The embordery is nice, I'm not sure what the design is supposed to be, but it looks like silver tree branches so it has a nice winterwonderland feeling. I think this sweater is perfect for a girl who wants to look nice for a party but does not want to wear something fussy or uncomfortable.
Skirt: Oh the skirt, I wasn't sure what to think of it. The pictures on the website made it look really awkward but in person the shape isn't as awkward. It poofs out, making her look like a little silver bell or winter princess. The ruffle swirl pattern dresses it up with out being too flamboyant. It a little hard to get on, but I think the elastic will be easier to get on the second time. I was worried it'd lower in the back when I sat her down, but it doesn't shift at all.
Shoes These are my favorite part of the outfit, they are the most adorable little silver flats. I had no trouble getting them on Esther. The flower charm on the end of the straps is the cutest. Intially seeing them I thought they were snowflakes, and they still seem like snowflakes to me so I'm going to keep thinking that since it makes it more wintery. I can't wait to pair these with other outfits. They can easily be used for fancy and causal outfits.
Final grade: A -, the factors keeping it from getting an A are that sweater's a little too snug, the obnoxious tag on the headband and the fact that I don't think it's worth $36 so I wouldn't purchase it if I hadn't been able to get it at such a great price.

I picked this up at the cyber monday sale for $18, but would never have paid full price for it. I love the shoes and think they could be used with a lot of different outfits. The skirts seems too long, or too poofy to me...not quite sure. The sweater is a nice color, but it's a bit thin and a tad too short. The headband is cute and plain enough that it can be used with other outfits too.
