This fashionable parasol is made of cream-colored lace—in the 1850s, that's how young ladies shaded their faces from the sun. It opens and closes easily, and has a sculpted golden handle her doll can really hold.
This item was released in 2012. After the NOLA collection entered the archives, the Lacy Parasol became part of Samantha's collection. It eventually retired in 2017.
Except for the lace, this is quite plasticky.
The handle they describe as gold is a nice soft gold, not cheesy gold.
I found it very hard for her to hold it while open. I had to kinda balance it on her head. Might have been easier if her arms were a little tighter, but she doesn't really have loose arms.
The lace is so beautiful. It's a nice soft lace, not stiff or polyestery at all.
B. would have been an A if she could hold it better.

I agree with Catlin. The parasol is nicely made and sturdy. I just love the lace and so did DD. I also like the loop for the doll to hold the parasol. It is a little tricky getting the doll to hold the parasol but otherwise we like it. I too think it was a little pricey.

I received mine in the mail today and am very pleased. It glides very easily when opening and closing. It is not too heavy and the lace is just beautiful.

I agree with everyone. The Lace on the parasol is just beautiful! I also like the little loop on the side to help Marie-Grace balance it better. Even though its a little pricey, I am very happy with this purchase! Attachments:

A friend has this and while I think the lace is lovely I can't help but wish the handle was wood. Still it's light for the dolls to how well.
