The new camping outfit is super cute! The boots are not as pink as they are in the stock photos. I really like it but I am willing to wait to see if it goes on sale. I feel the price tag is bit high.
The outfit is really cute and colors really do match in person. I am disappointed the jacket doesn't come with the outfit. The accessories are nice but I feel that there isn't much there for the price.
My mom really like this outfit, which really surprised me. She doesn't usually go for that look when she is buying doll stuff for her granddaughters. She was all set to buy until she realized the jacket didn't come with the outfit.

I really like the new hiking outfit and accessories. However, I was not a big fan of the pink/purple hiking boots or the hideous pink tee. Luckily, a fellow board member did like them and took them off my hands. In this photo, you can see the yellow socks & blue shorts. These are very cute and well-made! The shorts are pretty short, but they fit nicely.
The yellow socks are very cute and they still show up when wearing the boots I put on Inky (they're the hiking boots from the 2007 Adventure Outfit.)

I tried these on a doll and was very impressed with how well the shorts fit. I also thought the top was pretty cute, but overall, I didn't think this outfit was all that unique. If you don't have other short outfits for your dolls, then I recommend you think about this one. If, like me, you already have quite a few previous short outfits, then you might want to spend your money elsewhere. In the end, it was mainly the high price ($30) that kept me from bringing this set home.
The Land of Counterpane
When I was sick and lay a-bed,
I had two pillows at my head,
And all my toys beside me lay,
To keep me happy all the day. . .
this is sooo cute! the shorts arent suitible for winter, so i pair the t-shirt with ferns purple meet pants instead!
T-SHIRT- okay, not the nicest i've ever seen but it suits Fern to a T! she pulls it off purfectly! its a little thin i think, but oh well. the flower is a bit shiney but you can't have it all!
SHORTS- One of my favourite parts of this outfit! they are like denim i think.. anyway! i even think they look cute with my "stand tall" create-a-tee and McKennas meet leggings- shock horror!
SOCKS- my only AG socks apart from julies roller skate ones, and im dissapointed they dont add anything to the outfit and they feel cheap! with mine i can see the white elastic when i pull them up so you can see them under the boots.. i dont tend to bother with these cos they seem pointless and cheap to me.
SHOES- i hate to admit, i think these shoes and the shorts were the only reason i bought this outfit! the quality is soo cute! i wish the soles had a little more grip but oh-well! they look like they have grip! i LOVE the pink/purple colour scheme! it suits Ferns personality perfectly! I could never get rid of them..
I also thought the original $30 price tag on this one was too high, but my #4 Jessa loves colorful t-shirts. When it was a part of that massive sale, I grabbed it. I was right about the shirt - it does look cute on Jessa, and fits her just fine. However, Jessa is a very plump PM, and it took a lot of squeezing to get her into those short-shorts! The socks are cute, but they really do feel a little cheap compared to some thicker AG socks I have. I haven't tried the boots on yet - they're pretty well-made, other than the odd colors.
Ultimately, I am glad I bought this, if only for the t-shirt. Not a bad choice if you have a Mattel doll who needs a hiking or shorts outfit, but try to get it while it's on sale.
