I'm surprised there isn't a thread for this, since her outfit isn't talked about much on the Lindsey Doll thread!
So, what are the thoughts on the outfit? I think it's awfully cute, but the tights don't fit Beatrice so well. She doesn't like to sit in them.
LOVELOVELOVE the style, though! Very comfortable and cute but not overly girly, like Kailey's or Nicki's outfits. However - what the heck is going on with the skirt? What are the drawstrings for? Did girls really wear that kind of thing in 2000? I remember shorts and pants having 'em, but not SKIRTS (or else, they were vertical rather than horizontal).
The boots are pretty darn cute, too.
The clasp on the side is a cool touch, and it makes them easier to get on and off than if there were elastic or strings to tie or something.

I liked the shirt design. Very cute and easy to get on and off the doll. I don't like the skirt though. There needs to be some elastic on the top because when I look down I my doll, there's this gap between the doll's body and the skirt in the front and back. The skirt does fit on the sides of the body, just not in the front and back.

Lindsey's meet outfit is adorable. It consists of a light blue sweatshirt type zip up hoodie, a green short sleeve t-shirt about dogs, a khaki skirt, striped tights and wonderful red suede boots. Lindsey's outfit gets a Grade A mainly because it's Lindsey's, but also because it's so versatile with all the mix and match pieces. Keri already covered the boots, so I'll post some pictures of the rest of the outfit. I love this meet outfit. While the drawstring cargo skirt is a little WEIRD, especially since it always rides up on the doll, the rest of it is adorable. That hoodie jacket is the BEST thing ever...although those red boots are pretty darn good, too.

Thought I might add a close up of Lindsey's barrette. It's really easy to replicate if you do not have yours. It's approximately 1 1/4" long.

AGR asked me to post my comparison of Lindsey's pin (received when my Lindsey had her head replaced early in 2009) with Mia's blue rhinestone pin (from her hair accessories set) and a regular mini bobby pin. Here it is...

I am actually not a huge fan of the meet outfit.
I find the clasp on boots very hard to use, the gathering on the skirt just looks a bit odd, and frankly the tights are just ugly. The shirt is just OK...but the jacket is super cute.

This outfit is actually one of my favorites. I think it's adorable and very unique. It suits Lindsey perfectly. Lots of mix and match potential with each piece having "personality."

My Lindsey didn't come with her meet outfit, but I purchased it at the same time from another person, and I'm not a huge fan of it together.
I like that it has so many pieces for mixing and matching, and I like almost every individual piece (her shoes are the cutest things ever!) but I hate her skirt. I haven't seen it mentioned, but it velcros in the front on either side where the pockets are, and that drives me nuts for some reason. I find it kind of awkward to put on, and the drawstring at the bottom is just weird. The shirt, shoes, and hoodie are all really nice pieces, however.
Overall, I give it a B.

On the skirt and it's oddness: I remember having something similar, but I was five or six when she was released. I never saw older girls wearing them, but it was a good pay skirt for younger girls.

I think Lindsey's Meet Outfit is cute, though, yes, the skirt closure was a bit odd. I was in high school when she came out, and would still have work a striped hoodie like that if I had it, and did wear khaki skirts into college, though, again, not with closures like that. I wouldn't have worn the tights myself, but think they're adorable.
My big concern is with the boots, though. They're cute. But, upon taking my Lindsey out of her box to display for the winter holiday season, I discovered that her suede-like boots are peeling. This is not unique to these boots, either. They have not been manhandled, and I store the doll in her box in an upstairs closet, not in the basement. They were never "played with," as I got the doll when I was a Senior in High School. Has anyone else had this problem?
In the past, I would have given this outfit an A, but dislike that the shoes just haven't held up to time.

Have my original Lindsay and outfit. My shoes are as good as they were the day I got her. Did you have a heat problem upstairs? I had a pair of shoes peel that a grand daughter left in the car. Just saying.

I love Lindsey's meet outfit! There are so many pieces and they're all mix and matchable. Here's her whole meet outfit laid out:
Her skirt is sort of funny. The Velcro is where the pockets are.
Once it's velcroed the pockets are real.
Here she is with just her tights, skirt and t-shirt.
Here she is with the hoodie on and zipped up:
And her favorite way of wearing her outfit is with the hoodie open.
I also have not had any problems with her boots.
