I went to AGPLA, this month, and fell in love with Lindsey on display with all the retired GOTY's. My DD has continued to say how much she loves Lindsey, but I had yet to find one in good condition, and in her meet outfit! (I have been looking for over a year!) Well... we got back from our trip, and I happened to check CL, and found this beautiful girl in gorgeous condition, with her meet outfit, for a fair price! Best of all, the seller is an AGPT board member to boot! Now... will I give her to DD... I am smitten with this cutie-pie! She will be in hiding at least until Christmas!

Lindsey's very special to me. I received her back in 2005 and she'd been previously loved and abused. Poor girl. I'd once thought of sending her in to be fixed but now I can't bear to change her. She's perfect to me and I suppose that's all that matters anyway.

My Lindsey, who was usually dressed in 1950s wear, is on eBay at the moment - I've shifted my 1950s focus to my Gene collection. She looks really cute in Emily's collection, which I think is more late 1940s anyway. But apparently I don't have photos uploaded of those.

My Lindsey lives in the 1930s. She looks just like my grandmother, who has blue eyes and dark short curly hair, and was born in 1924 just like Kit. Here she is in a couple of Bunny Bear dresses I have made for her: DSCN1402 by margaretmildred, on Flickr DSCN1452 by margaretmildred, on Flickr Bunny Bear Princess Seams for Lindsey by margaretmildred, on Flickr I don't think her hair is that hard to manage. Luckily my Lindsey was well taken care of by her former owner, but her hair was kind of straight when I got her. It does tend to straighten if it is brushed a lot, but if you wet it, the curls come right back. I just wet her hair, finger-curl it, and it dries perfectly curled and refreshed. I wet it and let it dry about every 3 months.

My Lindsey came to me naked, and before I was able to gather up most of her meet outfit she wore velour lounge pants that I made, with a sweater I had knitted. I like her in jeans and t-shirt, and then of course for Hanukkah she looks adorable in the Hanukkah outfit of "velvet" skirt and angora sweater.

Lindsey's hair does get dry easily, but that is more due to the fact that she was made in 2001-2002. She and the older #21s have thick curly hair which is more prone to frizz and overall dryness. We often complain that dolls like Rebecca have thin hair, but the truth is that the thin hair makes for better curls and better upkeep of the curls.
My Lindsey's hair kept its curl. I did find that the few times I slept with her really matted the curl down. However, I was able to finger-curl her hair back to its original state. What I couldn't tame was the dryness. I wish I'd known about braid spray back when I got her originally as that would've helped prevent the dryness in the first place.
So I got her a new head, and her hair is still pretty silky (although thicker than the newer dolls' curls). I haven't really touched it, but when I do, I'm going to use braid spray. I'd like her hair not to get quite so dry again.

I got Lindsey for a song a few years ago. Unfortunately, I never really bonded with her so off she went to a board member. Here she is in a leotard for ballet class:

I thought I had more photos of my Lindsey wearing other clothes but these are all I can find this very minute:
She was an eBay girl and actually her hair really wasn't awful at all, only a little dry and losing curl but I couldn't fix it to my satisfaction, so off she went with Anastasia to have her head replaced. I really like her in blue but she is very pretty in pink as well.
Edited to add: Janettegoldstein, I bought that very Coconut outfit specifically with Lindsey in mind but the capris don't fit my girl's *ahem* generous hips lol.

When I found my Lindsey, either you'd pass her up and not even bother to fix her or send her in for a 'new' doll. I, however, took the challenge and now she looks awesome. The only thing I can comment about Tammy is her face.
Face: A The pinwheel blue eyes are unique. The pinwheels look like silver flecks, perfect for a doll who's a cool (summer/winter) skin tone. Her freckles are just too cute! I have used magic eraser to clean her face and not one freckle disappeared; they appear to be cleaner and more obvious. Mine does have the greenish tone, which I didn't notice, but everyone else did. She also has the 'gril' misspelling, which I find hysterical.

My Lindsey pics aren't as good as the others, but why not? I think she would be a great regency doll. Her hair is pretty easy for me, I just put it in rollers every once in a while and fluff it up. I give her meet boots a C-, because they're cute. (They look great with the meet top and Julie's Skirt Set skirt!) However, they stained Mckenna's feet, and almost everytime I tried to take them off/on her some of the stuff on them pulled off.

I got my Lindsey the year she was introduced because she felt so different to me. I have curly hair and she was kind of the first doll AG released with curly hair. It was towards the end of my "doll playing" phase so she is still in mint condition. Now that I'm an adult collector, she sits in a curio with the rest of my dolls. I agree with everyone above that said she looks great in blue! Also, what is all this talk about a grayish skin tone?? Now I'm wondering if my Lindsey has it!

I have had Lindsey for almost 24 hours now and she is a joy. She is my second (and likely last) AG doll, and she is just wonderful. Like an earlier commenter said, she's just so unique! I purchased Caroline's pale blue dress for her during the recent "free shipping" promo in anticipation of her arrival and Lindsey wears it well. She may live in the Regency with Josefina for a while, but I suspect she will spend quality time in Felicity's wardrobe as well as Kirsten's before it's all over.

I got my Lindsey used from a neighbor 3 years ago. Her hair has been cut even shorter than originally! She still looks ultra cute and she often plays the part of a boy in my doll skits on my blog. I keep telling her that sometime in the far future I will sent her to the DH to get her original curls back. As far as the rest of her goes, I don't believe she has gray skin. At least it looks fine to me. Her body tag is spelled correctly and her limbs are really loose from play. I probably play with her the most out of all of my dolls. I have yet to find an outfit she looks bad in.

I love my Lindsey doll! I bought her second hand in 2003 and subsequently sent her in for a head replacement (she now has a zip tie instead of neck strings). She's also a fun part of AG history. I think her meet outfit is really cute. I didn't really care for the book, so my Lindsey has her own personality.

Lindsey was the first AG doll I ever fell in love with, way back in 2001 when she was introduced. I loved her scooter, I loved her outfit, I loved her little laptop; I loved everything about her. Unfortunately, I wasn't much of a "doll" girl, and my parents didn't want to buy me a doll that expensive only for me to get bored of her, so by the time I convinced them I really did want an AG, Lindsey was no longer available. I'd long since given up trying to find her as she was always listed on eBay in my earlier collecting days for truly outrageous prices, but in about April, I found her listed on ebay as an unidentified AG doll. She didn't have her meet outfit, but she had nice face paint and her hair looked, while not silky smooth, not too dry, so I placed a bid and I won! Her hair was quite dry when I got her, and after several sessions of braid spray and deep conditioning, I realised the only way to fix her hair would be a boil perm. I did get the curlers a little too tight for her canon look, but it suits her: http://instagram.com/p/CAhYW2Es6mO However, as you can see, the curls have fallen significantly since then, while her hair remains soft: http://instagram.com/p/CECZ_14sQOq She also has the loosest limbs of any of my dolls (I suspect she was very well-loved, and I'm a bit nervous to try restringing), though with some careful posing, she can stand on her own. http://instagram.com/p/CEUTn7UMGmt My Lindsey does have a bit of a pallor to her, though it's not noticeable unless she's with other dolls.I wouldn't say she's grey but she's not quite as rosy as my other light skinned dolls. http://instagram.com/p/CF43ISxsL7m http://instagram.com/p/CF2TV0csVNF http://instagram.com/p/CF5WuQPsKc4 http://instagram.com/p/CF5g2gvsyJn Her meet outfit remains one of my favorites, and I still hope some day to at least get the shirt, skirt, and hoodie.

A friend has Lindsay and I now think she is just adorable. She works perfectly as a 1930's girl. Her hair is a beautiful auburn and her eyes are such a pretty blue. She looks great in bright primary and secondary colors.
