I got my Marisol Christmas '05 from my grandmother. She was my second doll. I got Kirsten in '96, so huge gap there. I had always loved Kirsten to bits, and couldn't imagine getting another. When I saw Marisol, I instantly fell in love with her. Getting her is what sparked my interest in collecting, which I have been doing passionately ever since.
Marisol is simply a gorgeous doll. The Josefina mold works beautifully with her features, and the medium skin tone with brown hair is quite striking. Although pictures don't quite do her justice, here is a photo of mine:
Does anyone have Marisol and JLY #28 and have pictures of them together? They seem really similar except for their hair. My Adelaide is a JLY #28 and I got her back in 06 for the sole reason that she looked a lot like Marisol who I had really wanted but was never able to get.
There's a photo of them together in the #28 Review thread HERE
I didn't get into AG until 2010 so, of course, I missed the opportunity to buy Marisol new. I've always liked her, but ebay prices tend to be high. I had looked at #28, but never took the plunge. I found a Marisol on ebay who had been sent to the doll hospital for a new head. I paid what I would have paid for a new doll, but I don't regret it. Her hair is awesome! I'm a huge fan of the Josefina mold and medium skin tone. I sold her meet outfit before I thought to take any pictures because it just isn't my taste. Here she is in a few of the MyAG outfits:

I love marisol. She is just perfect. I got her for my birthday the year she was available and my mom also got one that year.... And still never opened her! I played with her constantly and her wig got all messed up so I recently re-wigged her. But instead of a wig I used a synthetic weave from a beauty store. It is a darker color but I love how it came out. I am also planning to eye-swap her with either grey or hazel eyes.... But I'm not sure if I am brave enough to attempt it myself.
