I just got Jess from a little doll shop near my house, she is soo cute. I love her outfit and her hair, and her face. I love how her hair is red in the sunlight.

My Ebay Jess arrived Monday but I only got to see her last night. I love everything about her. Her hair is easily managed (much better then the rest of my dolls and definitly better then my little sister's Nicki). Her outfit is beautiful and I love the face mold.

Here are a couple photos of Jess that I recently bought from Thimbleberry. She is my first LE doll. I can't believe how awesome she looks. Her hair is nice and thick and so much fun to brush and style. She has the cutest little nose too. She arrived a couple weeks ago during a snowstorm so she quickly changed into something warm and cozy. I feel so lucky to have her. Jessica, aka Jess 29 May 2006 Jess has to be one of my favourite dolls. I love her unique face mold (shared only with Ivy), and her hair is so much fun to play with. I love my Mia very much, but Jess has to come in as a close second for best LE. Her hair is just so gorgeous! I love brushing it and leaving it down, because the waves are so pretty. Her face mold is also my favorite - I used to like the #4/Ivy mold better, but Jess is even prettier. Also, her meet outfit is adorable and looks great on her (and a lot of my other dolls too!). She definitely gets an A+ from me - I can't find anything about her I don't like!

i too love my jess way more than i thought i would...i only bought her b/c she's a GOTY. however, i did straighten her hair with the steamer. all my asian friends have straight hair, so she looked odd with all that wavy hair. i guess my jess takes after her mom's side  ) |

I used to like the #4/Ivy mold better Jess, Ivy and #30 all have the same face mold; #4 and Kaya are the only current AGs with their own face molds that aren't shared by anyone else. |

When I first got her (I have OCD) and I took her braids out. Her hair was all over the place after I played with her for a day. It drove me crazy because I wanted her hair to be perfect! But she had stray hairs everywhere when left down. I got so frustrated I just put her away. She has wonderful hair for up dos. It looks lovely, and I use her for my model when I sew clothes. So, She is wonderful really, love her hair color too.

She is one of amy absolute favorite AG dolls. Her face mold is lovely. Her coloring is beautiful. I am not a fan of the wig. I understand why they do it but I'd really love it if her wig was full and thick. I don't mind seeing the wig cap when her hair is in braids. Really, AG, I don't!! Though I DO love the color and highlights in her hair.
I love Jess and actually want another! maybe some day....

My Jess is a gorgous girl! I highly recomend her to anyone! Her face mold is amazing and I love the red highlights in her hair. The only problem I have with her is one of the wefts on her wig is coming unsewn. This is probably just a manufacturer's defect though. All in all she is a great doll. My Jess's hair is fairly thick unlike some of you who seem to have thin wigged Jess's. She looks good in clothes from any time period.

I love Jess. I got her in early May. She has wonderful red highlights in her dark brown hair! I recommend her to anyone who collects dolls or loves to have an adventure. But I wouldnt recommend her to girls younger than 10. Thats because she has a problem with her hair. Her hair keeps falling out and its getting thin. Is that normal for all Jess dolls???? overall I give her an A+ but because of her hair, I give her an A

Her hair is kinda thin, and fly away, and can get very messy. She's a really cute doll though and I love my Maya (I re-named my Jess). Her outfit is wonderful. The skirt even looks good inside out (it's a nice light green inside out)! The only thing I didn't like were her shoes because they fall off a lot. Over all, I'd give her a B+.

Mine is so thick and lucious that I highly recommend her if you love playing with dolly hair. Jess -> A+ Like I said, I have Jess and give her an A+. Her catolog pics do not do her any justice. She is beautiful and looks great in everything. I love the red highlights in her hair and her hair, like I said, is great for styling and updos. Her face mold is younger looking and she is adorable. I read somewhere that she looks like a chipmunk, but I strongly disagree. I don't have her meet outfit, but if I did, I would grade it an A+ as well. Edit: I've had Jess for three years and I've started to notice that her hair has gotten a bit dry and thin. Just thought I should mention that. She still gets an A+ from me.  |

Jess A Jess is awesome. I LOVE her hair. I've read about some Jesses having hair issues, but mine has thick, beautiful hair that is fun to style. She looks gorgeous in bold outfits, and I also like that I can make her look like Punky Brewster. |

I love her so much!! Her story is fun to read. The doll is beautiful. She has wavy dark brown hair that is not too thick, not too thin, and easy and fun to style. Her face mold is beautiful and her eyes are, too.

Jess is the BEST! I wanted to buy her off eBay once I was into AGs, but I bought my Lila (the JLY #18 with the thick bangs - the 'old' one, needless to say). I loved her to pieces and spoiled her with outfits, but I still wanted Jess. Even when the JLY with the layered bangs came out. And I met Ivy. So after researching on eBay I found a New In Box doll. I bought her, and she was the best! But recently, I found she had HUGE bald spots, so now I am more watchful of her hair and barely touch it. Do you know where I can find a brand-new Mint Condition Jess Wig?

I got Jess in late April or early May. It was love at first site! She had beautiful thick hair and it felt so smooth! What I really loved about her was that she looked exactly like me and both of us were the same age. But then as time past, her hair kept thinning and falling out until it was left with one layer of her!!! She was one or two steps to bald!
So when I received the doll I gave it an A+++++ but now that her hair thinned, I give it an A-. I sent the doll to the hospital though and now I have NO problems with her (:.

I give her an A+ for my Jessie.  Jess is my favourite american girl doll. This is because of her beautiful skin and face mold! She is the only American Girl doll that looks like me, as I am half-chinese and half-filipino. It's very hard to find a doll like this. She was perfect when I bought her during 2006. She was my first LE doll and she coaxed me into buying her whole world  . This is when I first started to get serious with AG collecting. Overall, Jess is an amazing doll! Her hair is very easy to manage and I can do quite a few hair styles with it (ex: French plaits, French pig-tails plaits, pig-tails, pony tails, and down). I suggest running down to ebay and buying her before she in totally out of stock. She's one of my favourite dolls and I'm sure you won't regret it! |

We received Jess from EBAY. She came to us in fantastic condition. I originally rated her a high B because I thought her eyes appeared uneven but as time has worn on, I've gotten used to her and thus move her grade up to a solid A. I think she's an all around great doll and I'm so glad that I picked her for my DD. She has a sweet face and is just in general very unique. I really love her hair especially. It's a beautiful color and a nice length for styling. It has good thickness to it as well.

I got my Jess in 2009. With some of her extras I got them all new in box. She is beautiful! I loove her red highlights! Her hair is thin, but I dont mind it. I just dont like how 1 side of her hair is different than the other. But that is normal. I love her so I would give her an A.

Ok - I am OBSESSED with Jess. I can't stop buying her - everytime I see her on Craigslist or American Girl. If I can get a good deal on her, I'm off and running. I don't know what it is about this doll - maybe because she looks like my twin girls (they're Eur-Asian too). Found one on CL for $40 with box and clothes! Bargain.

 Jess is my favorite GOTY. Her story is fantastic, but lets move on to the looks. Her hair is very unique, it's got red highlights, which is perfect for a biracial doll like her. Her eyes are very sweet, and her face is cute and a little chubby. You can style her hair easily, but my Jess's hair has gone dry. But nothing a downy dunk can't fix. I really love this girl! An A for Jess. |

Jess is AMAZING. My only regret is not getting her sooner. Her hair is thick and such a gorgeous color, and her eyes are so dark that it gives her a lot of depth. I can tell that she'll easily look good in any outfit she's put in, guaranteed. She may have become my second favorite doll!

My Jess doll was given to me as a gift for Christmas/Chanukah 2008...ouch. I never got her when she came out, and I regret that because when i finally decided I did in fact want to continue collecting these dolls, she cost 250$ not including shipping....double ouch. I love her though, she is incredibly pretty and her face mold is so unique, the goldish tint her coloring has is amazing and makes her look even more beautiful. I love the braided pig tails!! I only wish she had a second book as well like the other dolls...it's to bad really. Grade: A  |
