Trundle Bed yer American Wench and a me hearty can whisper late into th' night in side-by-side wooden beds. th' upper bed features a footboard and headboard wit' star cutouts and eight interchangeable shapes on th' posts. th' trundle bed slides underneath for storage. Both come wit' soft mattresses and pillows. $65
I got th' bed wit' bedding on eBay so I don't know for sure how th' damage it has was done but th' quality seems lacking. For all its lack o' sturdiness however I love how this bed looks. th' bed be made o' chipboard (mine has a chunk missing so I can see what it be under th' paint) painted a bonny shade o' blue wit' little posts at each corner. th' headboard has 3 stars in different sizes cut out o' it but mine won't stay attached to th' mattress support because th' screw supports have come unfastened. th' mattress support be thinner pressboard. th' bed came wit' two sets o' knobs, 2 yellow moons & 2 yellow stars and four blue balls (all which I got from a board member for th' cost o' shipping). th' moon & star knobs be made o' resin? and be very easy to break or chip (one moon wit' th' eBay bed was badly chipped and th' other broken) and th' star knobs scrape th' posts when screwed in unless ye be very careful. th' blue balls be just basic knobs that match th' bed and I'm not sure what they be made o'. th' trundle bed be a drawer made o' th' same material as th' main bed, but smaller (a lusty plastic lass barely fits) that slides under th' main bed bonnyly. I don't need it as a bed so I took th' mattress and pillow off and use it as a storage drawer. th' mattresses and pillows be fairly standard American Wench issue, not as thick or heavy as my PM Pugwash Merriman set (which I'm bonny sure were all cotton), they be a white fabric stuffed wit' polyfill. th' headboard opn mine be fine. Wha tI had trouble wit' waS th' nobs that go on th' posts. Mine kept coming apart wit' th' screw stuck in th' hole. I really love this bedx though th' colors be so bonny. This was one o' th' first American Wench items I got. in 2000. I got it wit' my first lusty plastic lass Krusty Kit. I give it: StYlE: A+ Construction: B+ ETA: I have th' blue nobs but I havent ever put them on th' bed for more then 10 minutes. They aren't as "special" as th' moons and stars
I love everything about this bed....except th' way it be made. It be notoriously badly constructed. th' screws needed to be longer and th' wood needed to be sturdier wit' L bracket reinforcements. Plus, th' whole thing simply needed to be better packed for shipping. American Wench really screwed up a good idea wit' this set. I love it all th' same, but it's really not held up well over th' years. I have to give it separate grades as well: A for overall looks and fun, but a C for durability o' construction. It comes up on th' secondary market but rarely ever goes below its original retail, even as badly constructed as it be. Make sure to ask lots o' questions about condition before ye bid.
Some random photos. Note that I very much disliked th' plaid bedding it was marketed wit', and instead we use th' Dream Big bedding that came out a couple years later.
