A black long-sleeved T-shirt with ghost & candy corn design and the words "American Girl"
An orange "tu-tu" style skirt, tulle over a "satin" lining and trimmed at the waist & bottom
Yellow, orange & white striped tights
Black plastic shoes with 3 little holes at the toes
2 orange hair bands
The tights are great - they look just like candy corn! They are easy to get on, fit well and you don't lose the pattern at all when they are on.
The skirt has an elastic waist, no velcro or other closure, it just slides on and sits more on the hips than the waist.
The t-shirt is a nice thick cotton. The design is like an iron-on type.
The shoes are just okay, a little cheap feeling, but not bad enough to degrade the outfit.
My only complaint is the hair bands which are very cheap. In fact, as I was putting them in my doll's hair they were actually flaking bits of orange. I also don't like that you see white on the bands instead of all orange.

Shirt: This is the reason I bought the outfit - in addition to my dolls I have a "cute ghost" collection that comes out at Halloween. LOL The ghosts are a sparkly decal. I would have liked if the candy corn were colored instead of white like the ghosts - it just seems like this was the cheap way out, getting a decal that's all one color compared to producing another one for the candy corn that has different colors. Also, my shirt is REALLY tight; you can see it bunching at the armpits. It will work well for mix-and-match and layering though and I do think it is cute. Grade: B
Skirt: It is made out of orange tulle, and just has an elastic waist. It goes on the doll easily and doesn't stick out like a tutu as much as I thought it would. Cute. Grade: A-
Tights: These are cute and could work with mix-and-matching if you have something that is orange, yellow or white. I think making "candy corn" tights was a clever and creative idea from AG. They are pretty thick, so I wasn't as worried about completely tearing them if they ever came into contact with velcro, like with some other AG tights. Grade: A
Shoes: They are basically ballet flat style "crocs". They are made of rubber which is actually pretty bendable making it really easy to get them on the doll's foot, even over the tights. They are cute, but definitely casual. They are also kind-of a greyer shade compared to the shirt, not as black. I would have preferred "real" shoes but I think the idea of doll crocs is funny and they do fit nicely. Grade: B+
Hair ties: I haven't used these yet so not grading them right now.
Overall Grade: A-
I was really worried about the overall outfit looking silly or too young (even for the target age) but I ended up really liking the way it looks together.

This is such an adorable set! The shirt was also tight on my Tempe, who is a Mattel, but it wasn't too bad. The skirt looks like it had elastic but it didn't give much. But it did slide on easily and so far has stayed put. The stockings are just the cutest! I wish I had more to use them with! lol the shoes are very much like crocs, with the rubbery feel. I wasn't sure if I would like this or not but once I saw it in person I fell in love. Very much like what young girls might wear. I give this set a solid A.
From an entire catalogue, this is the piece that really caught my daughter's attention. She asked for a friend for her doll for Christmas and she'll be getting this outfit, too. Of course, I had to try it on the new doll before I wrapped everything up to go under the tree! I think it's really cute!
My dolls: Elena (grey-eyed Elizabeth), Marissa (Marisol), & Lucy (Jess).
Daughter's dolls: Rose (#39), Trixie (#38), Molly, & Kit

This outfit is adorable! I love the ghost and candy corn on the shirt, and the tights are the color of candy corn. The hairbands and the skirt match, which is nice. The shoes are a little hard to get on, but still, I love the outfit. Here's Allie in it:

I bought this mostly for the shirt, which I would give an A to. None of my dolls have too much use for a tutu-type skirt otherwise, but I do like the festive Halloween look all together. I appreciated getting 2 orange hairbands, since Abby wears a lot of pigtails.
I actually do really like the shoes just because they are different from a lot of the other options. They are obviously Croc-like, but they do have cool treads on the bottoms.
