I love this kit and it has helped with restyling Rhianna's hair alot and everything is so cute! does anyone else like this kit?

Those are curlers. You wind the hair around the stem, then the cup part folds over to keep the wound hair in place.
I'm not sure what kind of curls they create, though. If this were less than $8, I'd probably get it just to experiment.

This kit creates the same curls as the other kits only more targeted for the ends od the hair

I got this when it was on sale last month, and to me it was worth the sale price. I tried the curlers on Rory's hair, and they did good, but I think I should have wet her hair more than I did before putting them in. I also wish they had included more than 8 curlers, that's not enough to do all her hair. I like all the little hair ties that came with it, and the bigger "claw" clip holds all of her hair really well! She looks adorable with it pulled back. This is a very nice little set, and you get lots of pieces with it.
