Rectangle Glasses GLC Grade: A
Can I just say that I have loved these on EVERY doll I have seen them on.

I purchased these glasses with the intent of painting them red, and they are very cute! However, I've found that it's difficult to put them on Beatrice and not have them sit funny.
My 'research' has shown that it's best to put the glasses on before doing any hairstyles where the hair right by the ears is pulled up or back, so that you can settle the arms of the glasses the way they need to be, then pull the hair around them.

Here's another coupla photos, which I also used in the Coconut's Best Friend Outfit review. Hey, why not double up? They're so cute with this set! I am getting better at getting them on evenly, but I still find that it's easiet to do BEFORE the hair goes up! --- KERI

I gave these glasses a B+ (an A- because they looked the best on boy dolls, but a B+ on the gals). I didn't like how sharp the ends of the bows are, and they have a tendancy to fall off the PM dolls (I tried them on Molly, and they seemed more inclined to stay on, but with Sebastian, who is a PM, then want to slide off if you move him. I cut his hair around his ears, so that might be why as well).
Actually, one of the things I like the most about the AGT glasses is the case they come with. I give that an A, just because they can do double-duty as a glasses cleaning cloth (I'm neurotic about dirty glasses and keep a lot of disposably cleaning cloths with me at all times). I wouldn't try them on my real glasses, but then, as I said, I am picky about my own glasses. But for getting gathered dust off of the doll glasses, they do a great job.

So cute! They look great on brown-eyed dolls, like Marisol and Addy.

I'd give them a B. I broke the first pair (only God knows why, they were just broken when I found them one day) but I loved them so much I bought a replacement pair. These have not broken yet. They are so adorable! I think they look wonderful on Felicity, who I have turned into a today girl, Leighanna. So they are Lei-Lei's glasses.

Just a warning for people who aren't sure about the color of these - different pairs will have different patterns of tortoiseshell, so some will be brighter than others. You may prefer to pick them out in person to get the ideal pattern. (It's also possible that newer pairs have more of the yellow stripey look than older pairs.) The pair to the right is the one I purchased this September (2008). The other pair I reviewed back in 2006. New Pair Old PairAlso, I'll reiterate that these fit the original face mold much better than the Josefina mold. With the original mold, you pretty much only have to slide them on and they're good to go. With the Josefina mold, if I do that, the lenses tend to bob around at eyebrow level! Here are both pairs being worn by both dolls at the same time:

I got these recently, from AGB-Boston and they're cute. At first I wasn't sure about them because some photos/lighting seem to make the lighter part a brighter yellow and I didn't like that. In person they're actually not as bright which is good. They do seem more fragile than the metals ones but I'm used to that anyway since I wear glasses myself. I do agree that these glasses are better to pick out at a store yourself, if you can. Some pairs are more stripey and have more of the lighter color than others, however, because of all of the variations in the patterns, no two pair are exactly alike. Here they are on Shirley, my custom #21:

I LOVE these, they look perfect on my Emily doll. I really like the unique tortoiseshell patterns. As much as I love these, though I'd have to give them a B+, because the screw came out of one of the sides and became unusable, forcing me to buy a new pair. I don't know if this a common problem, but I thought I'd mention it.

Bought these in Feb 2009 for my Haley, who decided she wanted a new pair of specs. Can't complain.

These glasses are adorable. They look great on my #25. But she has something wrong with her wig cap and they won't go on very easily without looking crooked. I still love them on her. The glasses give a doll a lot of character and personality. A+

I LOVE these glasses! I bought them for Cate because I figured it was about time I got a doll who always wore glasses. Theywere a similar shape to my glsases at the time which is the biggest reason I picked these. I have only tried them on with the classic mold - Cate (Mia), Sam and Harper #23. I thought Sam looked really adorable in them but I don't have a picture because Cate is possessive. The case is GREAT! I think I use that case more than my own glasses case, lol. It's good for travel because I worry that the glasses will fall off or get squished by something else in my suitcase with the dolls. Like real glasses they can be hard to photograph because they can let off a glare. I don't have problems putting them on with hairstyles but that could vary depending on the wig I guess. I put them on after hairstyling because they always fall off when I'm styling hair... I think I move the doll around too much when I'm doing it. Grade: A

Review originally posted by Americandreams I got the rectangle glasses for Christmas and I think they look great on Julie! They look very 70's and seem to look great on her face and with her coloring. They seem sturdy to me and I have no problems with them staying on her face. I love that they come with a little storage puch too. A from me!

Review originally posted by Cimorenegal. I really think the rectangle glasses are adorable but I feel they are rather flimsy-feeling compared to other glasses; I realize that the metal ones are going to feel heavier because, duh, they are metal, but I feel like with the rectangle ones if I am not SUUUUPER careful, the leg will snap off and I'll be out of luck.

Overall, I would give these glasses an A. I would give them an A+, but I found that no matter how much I play around with them, they never go on perfectly straight. I like the design and think the tortoiseshell pattern suits every doll, regardless of hair color/skin tone/eye color. I purchased these glasses with Alexandria (#25) in mind. I especially like the way they look on her, but as I said before, these are cute for any doll. I normally fix her hair and then put the glasses on...no problems.

I think these glasses are very cute! Lalaine (#8) used to wear the round silver glasses, but they looked very out of style, so I updated her a little with the rectangle glasses and they are great! I didn't really have trouble getting them to sit straight. I like the color with her red hair too!

These glasses arrived with the rest of my free shipping order this morning, and Saige is currently wearing them. My pair doesn't have as much of the darker color as I was hoping for, but I am satisfied with them anyway. They are sturdy and look very cute on Saige. Grade: A+
