Cheerleader Outfit IV & Book (2006-) Grade: A + The Good: Wow, where to start? I've been pining after this outfit since it came out - I was never a cheerleader, but I loved the girly girly colors and styling. You definitely get a lot for the money. A sweater, pleat skirt, cute low-rise blue spankies, white socks with a blue stripe, white and purple sneakers, megaphone, pom poms, ribbon hairband, book of cheers and let's not forget the stickerrs to customize your megaphone with! This outfit is great quality - as good as my old PM Generation 1 Cheerleading outfit. So those disappointed with Mattel should take heart because it looks like they've been listening. Their new products (I've gotten a bunch of them ) while perhaps a little pink and purple-y are at least well constructed and well thought out. The details are great. The "Cheer" logo on the sweater is even embroidered the same way they embroider lettermen jackets. The Bad: I don't know, I can't think of anything. This outfit comes with so much! Oh, wait, no, I thought of something: The hair band isn't really that stretchy. You can only loop it twice which means you have to do a ponytail - other styles are out. You can see what I mean in the picture.

I was very impressed with this set! There are so many pieces and I just love the color scheme (although I don't know of any schools around here with those colors). I have Cheerleader Outfit #2, and I have to say that this set is much better. The outfit is more realistic as to what you would see a cheerleader wearing (although if I'm correct the cheerleaders at my school wore tops similar to #2 and #3 when the weather was warm).
You know, I purchased this set thinking it would look great on Jasmine (#26), but after seeing your #24, I think it will look great on my #24, Lily. I give this set an A+ as well.

this one is of good quality and is eerily similar to the football season uniforms (save for the colors) that the varsity cheerleaders at my high school alma mater have been wearing as of late. I also have Cheerleader set #2 and it is more realistic to a basketball season outfit. I agree, it is of high quality. You can get some ribbon at Target or Wal-Mart that should match this outfit if you don't want to do a ponytail. The earlier versions, which I have, all came with scrunchies, so I like this outfit's ponytail holder with ribbons better. Ponytails is usually how dance groups and schools do their uniforms; at my old high school it was a requirement for them to wear ponytails to games. College level ones though tend to wear their hair down.
I knew way too many cheerleaders in high school (I was somewhat popular) and know a few in college too.

I have this outfit and I love it! it comes with so many pieces. I got this set on sale and the megaphone is right to scale and the outfit and the colors are sooo charming. This outfit reminds me of my 2 years of cheerleading.

This outfit has so many wonderful pieces. I have not yet used the bullhorn or pom-poms, but they are adorably cute. The purple and white is really pretty, which is why I got the set. The shoes and sock are so cute. I just love them! The shirt is nice. The material is thick and definitely not for warm weather. It reminded me of winter clothes. The skirt is cute too! The hairband is cute, but I don't know how durable it is, as I have not used it. I still love this outfit, and it comes with adorable accessories. A+
