Coppelia Ballet outfit (2001) Grade: A
This tutu has such a gorgeous color! It's beautiful. It snaps all the way up the back and the neck has a beige skin-colored top (it goes higher than I'd thought from pictures). The skirt has three layers with little rosettes on the top layer. It comes with a hair elastic with three large flowers (light pink, dark pink, and purple) big enough for a girl to wear (not pictured). The only reason it gets an A instead of an A+ is because it didn't come with tights, and the ribbons on the slippers slide down the leg and gather at the ankles no matter how you tie them.
I love this outfit! It's so beautiful and looks like what someone would really wear in a ballet. My only complaint is the shoes because if they're supposed to be pointe shoes, they aren't very accurate! The ribbons are in the wrong place and are too thin. The not having tights part about it isn't a problem because I always have them wear tights anyways. The flower ponytail holder is a cute headpeice.
I just wanted to note that the ribbons are supposed to tie around the ankles - they shouldn't crisscross all the way up the leg, because that impedes movement and can injure the dancer! So you might like to be grateful that the ribbons slide down if your daughter is playing with the outfit, so she doesn't try to wear ballet slippers the wrong way and then hurt herself!
Trust me, when you tie your ribbons up your calf and then try to dance, they cut into your skin and ouch. Also, vicky94 is right - the ribbons are set too far forward in the slipper to be accurate, and aren't really functional like that.

This by far is my favorite of the dance outfit and about my favorite outfit for the today line. It was an ebay buy. Its a very pretty dark red/pink kind of a raspberry color. The best part is no Velcro it snaps down the back. The Ballet slippers go on very easy no fuss. The top of the dress near the neck has row a roses in blue, light pink and red/pink, also on the skirt is a few of the roes as well. I don't think the new from AG had tight but I always use a pair of black tight with it. Very will made outfit so rich in color. This out an A+
I have this out fit. And about 1 yr ago I was looking at the description somewhere and saw the hair tie. Aparently ever since 2001 when i got the outfit, I had been using the hair thing for ME!! Well anyway i give this an A+, sept for the fact that the tutu snags easily so try not to get it stuck on the velcro of an outfit.
very pretty. i got it second hand and doesn't have the accessories but the dress is gorgous!
I love my American girls and my rabbits Ag's: Kaya, Felicity, Lissie, Samantha, Sammy, Nellie, Molly, Kailey, Marisol, Jess, Nicki, Mia, Chrissa, Sonali, Cher, Lily, Hannah, Eleanore, and Charlie Rabbits: too many to name!
Here are a few photos of our #39, Rose getting ready for her ballet classes! I really like the look and color of this outfit, especially the rose detailing, but the snaps are more difficult than velcro for younger children. We used the headband from the True Style Outfit (it matches the lighter pink roses perfectly). The shoes aren't accurate, but they are cute! B+
