This is a very basic, versatile piece for the JLY wardrobe. Mine were purchased at the AG Outlet in 2007. Simple black tee is printed with a slightly-pinker-red "American Girl" basic logo across the chest. Full length back black elastic closure. This mixes nicely with the raspberry red in the Ready-for-Fun meet outfit. "A" for basic functionality.
This is a perfect basic shirt. I think it is worth the $7 or so AG charges for a t-shirt.
It's made of a stretchy cotton knit and well-finished. It has regular velcro going up almost the entire back. The logo is screen-printed. The doll modeling is a chubbier doll, so the logo may be at less of a curve on a thinner doll. Thanks to the stretch in the shirt, it can fit all AG dolls.
I purchased mine 2008 at the outlet store. I bought it not really sure which one of my dolls would wear it and was pleasantly surprised to find it fit the Carpatina dolls! Chloe immediately claimed it and I have to admit it looks good on her. Sorry Marion! I'll have to get you the V-Neck logo tee. So I am very pleased with this shirt and it goes with everything in Chloe's wardrobe.
I purchased this shirt from the AG website in the fall of 2006. I purchased two, since they were only $6 each, and have since used it on my dolls. I think it's a nice, almost plain black shirt, and can be used very nicely for mix-and-match. The quality is superb. I only wish they other colors other than black, but I knew what I was getting so I give it an A+.
This is a nice, basic shirt, although I wish it came in more colors than black because it looks a little hardcore, which won't suit all dolls . It is stretchy, spandexy material that velcros in the back, and fortunately it doesn't snag! It fit's both PM and Mattel and looks nice on a wide variety of coloration. I wish AG had been selling jeans at the same time, because most sets don't come with jeans and Amanda didn't have much to wear it with. A-
