This outfit has grown on me over the years, so I finally got it used from a lovely board member. I don't know why I waited so long! I love all of it. The blouse is a cool sleeveless cotton that ties at the bottom. It has tiny little buttons, but closes with velcro. The shorts are study denim. The sunglasses are on an adjustable cord, and the sandals are just perfect. There's also a divine little flower hair tie. This outfit originally retailed for $20 and is worth every penny. It has held up well and I absolutely give it an A. Phoebe (who needs to clean her glasses) will serve as your lovely model: The ensemble: Close-up of glasses: Shoes of cuteness: The hair tie: Close-up of blouse & glasses cord:

After wanting this outfit since 1998, I recently lucked into one on eBay, with everything put the ponytail holder, which I plan to replicate. The top is adorable. Nice quality material, and I love the look. It screams summer. The shorts are made of a good quality thick denim. I prefer them to the Blue Jean Basics I jeans. Great for mix and match. The only problem is that, although the outfit is tagged PC, the shorts are plenty tight on my PM Wendy. She kept making the top button pop open. I have her wearing the shorts atm with the 10th anniversary tee, and that's covered by the shirt now so it isn't as much of an issue. The shoes are much cuter in person, and unlike the Earth Day sandals, these stay on! Woot! The sunglasses are shaped almost like Wayfarers, which have become popular again. I'd say the only thing that really dates this set is the cord on the sunglasses. Awesome set though. A-. Only gets the minus because of the fit of the shorts.

I love this outfit. It was one of my absolute must-haves when I got my 90's doll, Rose, who is modeling for you today. I bought this on eBay without the glasses, but I got the important part: the shoes. AG-sized Tevas. SOOOO fabulous. They're dark blue, black and yellow. The soles are a good size and don't look too small like some AG shoes do. Both the toes and the ankles are adjustable with velcro, just like the real ones! This outfit reminds me so much of the ones I wore when I was ten or eleven. The shirt is cotton and crisp, the shorts nice denim. Mine doesn't show the dolls' belly - you have to tug the pants up and the shirt down, but that's how we wore them in the nineties! The subtle blue pattern on the shirt is nice. It's not all matchy-matchy like things are today, and it still looks coordinated.. I give this two thumbs way, way up.

I love this outfit, too. My pudgier PM Julian practically lives in it all summer. I've had it since 1998, and given how much wear it's gotten, it's still in perfect condition except that the hair tie has gotten a bit stretched-out. It still works fine, though; it just takes an extra twist to make it snug. The Tevas were my favorite part when I got the outfit, but for some reason, mine are a bit too large for any of my dolls -- to make the ankle strap truly secure, I have to pull it so far over that the strap's Velcro is all the way past the matching piece on the body of the shoe. They flap a bit on my dolls' feet. Fortunately, since they don't actually walk, none of the girls seem to mind too much, and the shoes still look cute. I'd give the set an A-.
