Play Outfit $22 GAOG Grade: A Lovely! I never knew quite how nice until I got it in a lot of stuff at a garage sale. It has a white tank that Velcro in the back. I noticed it is the same tank as with the Rootin' Tootin' Outfit. There is a denim shirt that goes over it with little mother-of-pearl buttons that have snaps on the inside. Then there is a long rayon skirt in a bright red print. It is flowy and long. So pretty. I really love the little doll headband covered in the same red print fabric. She also has sandals. brown suede woven ones. Really cute and summery.

I have this outfit and it is very pretty but the sandals are falling apart. Really, the leather is disintegrating. Maybe it's age but the outfit is perfect otherwise.

This is a very cute outfit. It was a very special gift from my best friend Brian several years ago. It's such a classic outfit, A.

I give it an A+ as well. The headband is a nice touch. I like the fact that the tank top velcroes in the back- it does not mess up the doll's hairstyle. The skirt and shirt are extremely high quality. Definitely one of my favorite outfits.

I adore this one too! This is another one of those 'classic' AG outfits that seem to never go out of style. The only thing I don't like on it are the sandals, which seem a bit flimsy, but I can also chalk it up to age. When I had Nicki wear it, I paired it with her meet boots with much better results.

I love this one! I've had it since I was a kid too. The pieces are really versatile. The only thing I don't like are the shoes. Mine actually came with different shoes... flimsy sandals that were meant to be flip-flops with beads on the toes. They're made of that soft "leather" material... They look alright, but they don't stay on in play very well.

I've noticed that it often comes with those on eBay, and I want to message the seller saying "Wrong shoes!", ha. Did you get your Play Outfit secondhand or from AG, because I wonder if for a while they sold them with those flip-flop sandals?

I think AG might have run out of the original shoes and substitiuted the flip-flop ones. I don't have this outfit, but my sister does and it came with sandals like the ones BuckinghamAlice described. I know the outfit was purchased directly from AG, but it could have been a late edition because hers wasn't purchased until at least 2001 (when we got our first dolls). I'll try to take a picture of the shoe (we only have one).

I'm always happy to pull this outfit out each spring because it's so cheerful and well-made. Regarding the parts that I have: AG doesn't make a lot of longer skirts, and the cut and drape on this one are perfect. The white top is nondescript but adds another layer below the great denim shirt. I'm not big on snaps and would rather have had buttons, but at least the snaps are nice looking. The contrast stitching on the shirt dates it a bit in my opinion. The matching headband is my least favorite part because I don't know any 10 year old girls who wear headbands to match their skirts. Overall rating is an A-. This one appears regularly on the secondary market, although it's pricier if all the original parts are included.

Oh yeah! The denim shirt! There's something incredibly nostalgic about the millenium AGoT outfits and this one is no exception. Excellent quality and coloring in this outfit with great potential for mix and matching. The white shirt is basic and velcros up the back. The skirt is a long crimson red floral print made of a soft cotton material. But, as you can see in the picture, it wrinkles very easily. The jean shirt is my favourite part of this outfit! I love how 90's it is and also how versitle it can be. I like to think that it can be a bit western and country, perfect for one of my characters! Very nice that it has snaps and not velcro, and I like the snaps better than buttons, for it seems the snaps are sturdier. The headband matches the skirt pattern, but is fairly tight and nearly messed up Kaya's braids while I was putting it on. I got this from craigslist and it did not include shoes or the necklace. A friend has this. It is a really cute outfit. I love the bright red print of the skirt and the matching hairband. The hairband is finished inside just as well as human ones are. Like others have said the sandals in her set has disintegrated which is sad as they were cute also.
