Alright... a thread for the Go Anywhere Oufit... from 2002-2003. The cream mock-neck, green skirt, purple tights, purple boots, and purple cardigan.
I for one like this outfit, but my mom accidentally washed it a few times, and the only thing that fits right is the cardigan. The shirt stretched, and so did the tights. The skirt shrunk, but the boots were never washed. I am planning on buying a new one off ebay, but its not #1 on my list of things to do.
Overall, th outfit is cute, but I personally say don't wash it unless absolutely nessescary(sp?)

I love this one! It came on Laura, or else I probably wouldn't have gotten it. It is a good outift that looks cute on any girl! It is a bit dressier than most of their current outifts, which I like. The good: The fabric the skirt is made of is nice and the ruffle is cute. The decoration on the sleeves of the sweater is very nice. The bad: The tights are thin and snag easily. I think the neck on the shirt is weird, but I've never been a big fan of turtlenecks. I also think th boots are a little too "clunky" and look weird on the dolls feet. Rating: All in all it is a good meet outfit. It can be mixed and matched with other things, so I give it an A-. Simply because of the things I think look "weird".

- a purple cardigan - a cream coloured, cap-sleeved, mock-turtleneck - greenish tweed skirt with sheer pueple ruffle - pale lilac coloured tights - lilac microsuede zip ankleboots
overall: Though I think it's lovely, I don't believe this is something a child of 7-12 would wear. It looks a bit grown up, not in a sleezy way, but in an 'this is appropriate to wear to the office' kind of way. I know other people have said it has good mix and match capabilities, I don't quite see it, myself.
The purple cardigan has a lovely feel to it. It has nice detailing on the wrists. I honestly would've prefered this piece if it closed somehow other than a ribbon woven through the waist; buttons, or tied at the chest.
The cap-sleeved mock-turtleneck has a design on the front made from sequins, but I'm not clear on what it's suppose to be. a berry of some sort, or perhaps a flower, or a clump of lilacs? I don't like the detail, I think it's extraneous. The sequins come loose and dangle like dingleberries easily.
The greenish tweed skirt is a really nice weight, and I'd love it if only it didn't have the sheer purple ruffle. It would be indefinately more mix and matchable were it not for that. The colour combination, though it works when you've the outfit all together, is kind of bizarre when you look at just the skirt on it's own.
As other people have said, the thights are very thin. Personally, as an adult, that doesn't bother me. I'm just really happy to have a pair of tights in a colour other than white or black. purple tights!
I love these boots. They're dead cool. I would buy this outfit, if I could find it cheaply enough, just for the boots (and tights).

I found that the cardigan and t-shirt looked really nice and more age-appropriate with a pair of jeans or khaki cargos. But maybe that's just what I wore at that age. I agree that the sequin detail is a bit extraneous and too much. When I had the Starflower Outfit, I paired the cardigan with the lilac blouse and it looked very nice, but still a bit business-casual for an eleven year old! (That's how old Beatrice is.) I don't care for the boots at all, but the outfit looks very nice with Kit's school shoes. ETA: T-shirt with jeans: --- KERI

I agree with whoever said it was more an outfit an adult would wear to the office than what a 12 year old would wear.
I absolutely love the sweater. I love the purple. I love the flowers. I love the ribbon. I love the fact that it is a cardigan.
The shirt would be better if it were a crewneck and not a mock turtleneck. The color and picture are very nice.
The skirt is very cute and I like the ruffles at the bottom.
I do not care for the tights or boots.
A- overall

Even though I can't imagine seeing someone walking down the street with this on, it looks very nice on my doll. Unfortunately, my tights have several holes in them, and I seem to have misplaced the box containing it while unpacking. Hopefully it'll turn up, because it is a cute outfit.

I like the idea of this with jeans and different shoes. The boots seem a bit clunky for the overall appearance of the outfit. Maybe the purple Mary Janes from the denim jumper?

I give this outfit an A-. I like the colors and the tights. The boots are awful. I would like to see this outfit made for Bitty Babies minus the tights.

This has to be one of my favorite outfits. The color on the cardigan is such a pretty purple. I don't have any negitive comments on this outfit!

I don't really like this outfit at all as an outfit, but I think pieces of it separately can be *OK*
The boots are cute, and I love those; The tights are just your average everyday AG tights but I like them. The skirt I'm not crazy about, but again, it's well made and I can't really find fault with it other than it's not my style. The cardigan I dislike because the ribbon can come right out and I wish they'd secured it or something. As for the little mock turtleneck it's just personal style but I dislike that, too.
I give it a B; My gut says something lower but I can't justify that based on the fact that it's pretty well made. All in all I feel that some of the AGT/JLY meet outfits are questionable, though.

Harriet (my #18) came in this outfit; it had everything but the boots. I like pieces of it, but not all of it together, the people who said it seemed too dressy for a young kid, I agree with. However, I did find a doll that it suited, and that was Hilary (#3)

Ashley came in this outfit in 2002, we got it as soon as it was being made because when we ordered the doll, catalog pictures still showed the Urban Outfit. It's a cute set, but it's too girly for a tomboy like Ashley. I would like a less fancy outfit that could go either girly or tomboyish, and I think the Ready for Fun outfit later accomplished this. I also don't think it's too adult for a young girl, this just seems like an outfit for a fancier occasion - which is why we bought the girl-sized pieces for me when I was 12!
The sweater - this was made during the Purple Reign of AG, when even my mother said, "They sure like to use a lot of purple, don't they?". It is a dusty lavender color, very thick and high quality. I love the raised embroidery at the wrists, a detail even the girl's sweater didn't have. The ribbon is a pinker shade, it threads through and ties to the front, and can come out if you aren't too careful. A+
The shirt - I really like the shirt! I think it's supposed to resemble a mock-turtleneck. It's made from cream-colored, thick cotton. The detail on front is supposed to look like hydrangeas and is really made from stitched-on sequins and embroidered leaves! Very beautiful and looks great with blond hair, A+.
The skirt - wow, this is really nice, an olive green herringbone-textured fabric that is also quite thick. It velcros with the "snag-free" velcro at the side, and falls to about the doll's knees. There is all manner of decoration at the bottom, beautiful different ruffles and ribbons, a lot of detail that's really nice. A+
The tights - *runs away screaming*. These things look really cute with the outfit but they SNAG! I don't even know HOW they snagged, there's hardly any velcro in this set! Either way, the back of our pair is completely shredded. This is a very delicate piece but looks nice. B-
The boots - I actually wasn't too crazy about these, they were just kind of funny looking and I never saw anything like this for actual girls. They are a much darker purple than any of the outfit's pieces and seem to "ground" it. With a thick rubber sole and a suede-like upper, they zip up the front. B

I got this outfit from someone here on the board quite some time back. I specifically wanted the sweater, as I've got a girly who loves purple. I agree with others that have stated that this is great for separates but seems a bit much for a young girl to wear. Perhaps, like Nibs said, for a more special occasion, but I can't really imagine "Going Anywhere" in it. =P I don't have the tights or boots, but I find the boots really unrealistic and rather yucky. I'm not a fan of purple boots (even those with the newer jumper outfit... I adore it above the knees). I'll give it a B+.

This is my favorite meet outfit! I got a doll on eBay who was wearing it and it's still in pretty good shape. Maybe my doll is on the chubby side because the skirt barely fastens around her waist (and the velcro doesn't really work anymore for some reason). It would be good if the shirt were a bit longer and if the flower decoration were less amoeba like. I love the little purple shoes though and the tights and the overall look of the outfit. If it were for sale on the AG website right now and I didn't already have it, I would probably purchase it. My grade is an A-.

This is a really cute outfit. I got it on sale at AG when they brought out a new meet outfit; they'd ran out of boots so I never had those, but it never bothered me I missed out on them. I tend to use Kit's meet shoes with this outfit.
The sweater is really cute and I think could go with a lot. Looks cute paired with jeans and different kinds of white tops.
The shirt is cute, but I pretty much only use it with the rest of the outfit.
The skirt is adorable, but I don't like the closure. I wish it had a clip and zip closure like my Kit meet skirt. It gets tight on PM dolls too, but it's still manageable.
I like the tights, but since I don't have the boots, I didn't actually use them much. I still have them in case something else pops up that they'll match.
Overall, cute outfit. I like to put it on Kit most of the time. I think her short hair looks cute with it. It looks good on pretty much any doll though.

I have the skirt only and I am quite pleased, but the valcro is a bit flimsy but it'll do. It looks cute with purple and it's easy to dress up or dress down.
